Default Car vs. Subway?

Ok, so I'm going out on a date tomorrow. I have no idea whether I should use the car or the subway/walking.

Subway is much easier, although it'd be about a 5-10 minute walk from the subway station to the cafe. It's pretty cold/windy out.

On the other hand my car is pretty nice. The only reason I'm not thinking of taking my car is because it's sort of unecessary. I don't want to seem like I'm showing off or anything (no college kid has a nice car) and also I don't have to drop her off then. Yes, I'm serious.

There's no reason to take the car, except for we might want to do something else after the cafe and a car makes it that much easier to drive down to the movies/beach/road head/etc.

Yes, this is the biggest decision I've had to make all week.

The downside I see with a car is her getting the idea that I'll be all into giving her rides.

I fucking hate giving girls rides to places they want to go. I only drive them if I also want to go somewhere, or if I'm getting road head while I'm going there.

Sorry, I'm blowing this simple decision way out of proportion.

If you take the subway, you can get as trashed as you want to without having to find a designated driver.

So if she's a total bitch, you can at least get sloshed.

Also, subway tickets/cards give you an alibi should you need one...

Lol you little fucker.

I'm not going to be getting drunk, or drinking at all for that matter.

I don't need an alibi.

Put something big in your car that takes up the passenger seat. Sorry, I really wish I could give you a ride, but, I left xxxxx in my car.

While an awesome idea...I'm not going to the cafe alone...

I want to bring her, but can't figure out which way is better.

I personally have a tendency to take the bus, but that's probably because I spend the majority of my time under the influence...

But if you plan on going on some kind of sober outing, and you have a vehicle, maybe you should consider it...

But then again... Maybe you don't want her to associate you with a car so soon. Maybe she'll start to think of you whenever she needs a ride somewhere...

I don't know. To be honest, I have very little experience with cars, as I tend to lose my license every time I have one...

So hopefully someone else can speak from experience!

Dude, if you come to montreal don't bother with a car. Just get a bus/train ticket. And we'll have booze, don't worry, we're thinking 3L of JD and Grey Goose.

That sounds pretty fucking awesome! I'm definitely trying to figure out a way there and back, because it will probably be worth it!

If anything, I might try and find a cheap place to stay there so that I can spend a few extra days in Montreal. I've been wanting to check Mtl out for a while now!

Yeah I know what you mean, and I appreciate the offer and all! But if I'm coming out there, I might want to stay for an extra couple nights so that I can get to know Montreal. I haven't been there in over 5 years!

But we'll see... if I can find a way out there for a decent price, I might just come for the one night!

Car.

But make it nice and clear that if you're not getting the road head or something in the backseat, she's not getting free rides.
