Default Missed Oppertunity

Here's the story

There is this girl, her name is Sally, anyways, I've liked her since about grade 10, she goes to a different school, I met her though a friend at my school. Anyways, this summer, she started dating my best friend. At that time, we became pretty close and were talking to each other non-stop via SMS. In October, she dumped my best friend, and rumor has it, it was because of me. The week after she dumped him, we hung out. I knew I liked her, and I decided I was going to tell her the next weekend at a concert we were going to go to together (the artist happened to be her favorite so I wanted to be romantic), anyways, some weird events happened to her and in the course of 12 hours, communication went to practically nothing.

We didn't hang out at the concert. I didn't tell her I liked her. Fast forward about a month, and I still liked her, I hadn't talked to her, but I still liked her. I decided to be spontaneous, and just tell her. So I did. She was thrown back by the suddenness about it. Turns out, she had started seeing someone else. She never said she didn't like me, she said she was seeing someone else (which is true).

I still like this girl, if she said she had made a mistake and wanted to go out with me instead, I'd take her up on it in a heartbeat. I somewhat hope that perhaps our paths will cross again someday when she's single, and it all works out. But since I don't like the idea of putting my faith in a pipe dream, I'm moving on.

Talk about a missed oppertunity, I've heard from her best friend that she did like me at one point. If those feelings were there once, I'm sure they can be found again. But I'm not letting it get me down. But what a shitty break.

Or livejournal if you like.

But as long as you learned something from it it's all good.

the way I look at it, if we cross paths someday and she wants to be with me, that's fucking awesome. But I'm not getting hung up on her spending my days chasing after her. There are other bitches to fuck, and I'm a hot motherfucker. The world can't afford to have me just chasing after her.

A lesson to the TOTSE community. Don't let these oppertunities pass you by.

Good attitude, but you shouldn't be afraid to literally be "Hey girrrrrrlllll....waaannnnnaaa fuuuucckkkk?"

It's my usual routine as I'm standing in line for a club and usually results in some form of violence, but it's easy to get your point across. You're just out for a good time and you're not getting hung up on anyone.

You should have had the same mindset with this girl. None of this "I need to make it romantic and special" bullshit. Just a simple "Hey, I see you're single. Want some dick?" would have worked far better.

Live and learn man, keep on improving and soon the world will be yours.

Craigslist ftl. I saw this amazing guy at walmart on thanksgiving, and actually posted an ad about it on craigslist, hoping to find him. I've gotten emails from about 8 guys so far, none of them even remotely resembling the description I posted.

One guy wasn't even at the same fucking walmart, but replied anyways. Another was there the day after thanksgiving, but claims that he remembers seeing me.

Here's the most recent email I got:
"I think you are talking about me…I am actually between 6' 6" and 6' 7", and it was a black sweatshirt. Am I the same guy?"

I'm supposed to be able to tell if this is the right guy or not just because he told me he's either 6'6" or 6'7"???

Another one ended with "Write back and send me some pics."

1 in maybe 10000 people is 6'6 or 6'7. Hell, I'm 6'2 and I tower over most people. Someone that tall would have stood out for sure.

Yea, but in the ad I stated that he was somewhere between 6'0" and 6'4", or somewhere around there.

You need to get better at picking out people. You never know when a friend of yours might get abducted or something and you'll need to act quickly to figure out who the suspect is. Look for obvious facial markings (although watch out because if it's too obvious it might be a fake scar/contacts/etc). Hair colour and style is best to remember, height and weight if you can, and clothes. Lots of people miss really obvious clues in clothes.

This girl was kidnapped once and she had a bright blue shirt with a huge ass teddy on it. The witnesses couldn't give out any information except that she was "black, and I think she had dreads, and she was small". That's it, and this girl was the centre of attention for a good 30-60 seconds.

If something like that had actually happened where a huge scene was made, I would have just pulled out my phone and taken a picture.

But I'm talking about a guy that I saw at a store and made eye contact with for about 2 seconds.

Sorry, sometimes I get stuck in "guerrilla" mode too much, where I'm going through survival scenarios and whatnot. Long story, but yeah, of course it's understandable, Wal Mart is a busy place, and it's not like you were waiting for the guy.

Plus you probably spent the 2 seconds eying his junk instead of checking out his clothes ;)

Finally...Someone with the right idea!

I gotta admit, I was expecting to read about "I missed the opportunity and now I'm so depressed and I want her so bad and I don't know what do other than murder/suicide. Boo fucking hoo!"

Jesus...Dude...You have the right idea...
Hope it will happen again one day and remember what you learned from this experience so you can apply it effectively to the "one day" situation.
But until that happens you're gonna go and enjoy life!

+1 to you little buddy!

I just got another email from a different guy who says he's 6'9"... Looks like tall people are more common than you think.

Seriously though, rejection is a bitch, but you can't get down on yourself over it. We're not in the movies, so this shit doesn't always have a happy ending.

My problem isn't that I'm hung up on this girl. It's that I have problems finding another girl I like. To be honest, I'm a picky bastard. Girls have to have looks AND personality, and I don't believe in comprimising. And I shouldn't have to. I'm smart enough to keep the conversation going with any intelligent girl, and I'm attractive enough to get any girl I want really. If I comprimise, it would be a slap in the face of god.

I'm still in highschool, but in a few months I shall be graduating, and moving onto university. I can't wait.
