Default Not liking a friends 'partner'

Okay here it is, all on the table. I have a girl who is my friend and the guy she is with currently I can not stand. I literally want to beat him to death at a empty car park whilst asking him how it feels knowing he's going to die with no one around at a dirty, scummy, vacant car lot.

That's not the point :p The point is she's my friend, I am in a fucked situation. I don't want her with him, I don't want to tell her how I feel because it has the real potential of killing our friendship...all the while her being with him is making me want to do away with our friendship anyhow.

Has anyone been in this situation before? What could I do? What should I do?

I'd say I'm jealous if I was but I'm not. It's just a fucking shit situation.

Well, is she happy with him?

And would you want to be with her instead?

And and what makes him such a jackass?

If she really is your friend, you should be able to sit down and talk to her about how you feel in regards to this guy. Maybe she can help you understand why she likes him and it might make it easier to accept him. Or there's even the off chance that it might help her realize she's making a mistake.

I mean, if you're both responsible adults (or heaven forbid, responsible teenagers!) then she'll understand what you have to say and you have to be willing to understand what she has to say. And then at least she knows where you stand in the end and that's what really matters. Strong communication between friends is critical.

Yeah I understand your pain.

All you can do is grit your teeth and hope that someone else feels the same way you do and trounces the fucker to death.
Even if she eventually see's he's an ass, she wont like you for hurting him probably.

Your just going to have to deal with it if you want to keep the friendship. I had my 'best friend" interfere with one of my relationships and it was the most hurtful thing ever. I won't even talk to her anymore because of how betrayed I felt. Her interference was because of jealousy though, not because of anything else.

It's a different situation if it's an abusive relationship. If she's getting hit or emotionally abused then bring it up with her as a concern. If she's happy in the relationship don't interfere. It'll only cause more problems.

Why exactly don't you like him? Is he just a douche and that's it or is he really a bad person?

I'm a bit shady on the details but there are plenty of reasons I don't like him. I had a chance of handing his ass to him at a pub at the beginning of this year, I should have taken it, if I knew what would happen later on with her I would have.

He tries to get everyone offside with everyone, really fucking snakey. She's a smart girl, he is not - He isn't even good looking...I've had girls confirm it okay? haha. So I'm not getting what the allure is.

Again I'm not sure but I go with my gut instinct that he's using her. She really is a friend, I don't want to even think that shit. If there's a passing thought of that being the case... Mad which there is.

I heard him saying he wants to move away from here - Ain't nothing serious obviously at his end at least. She's never actually said she's with him but you'd be a clown not to know.

Uusally I leave shit like this be, it's not my business it's theirs...but this time I'm having toruble letting it go.

I'm the type of guy that even if the girl I love with all my heart crushes it by going with someone else - If she's happy I am. What's going on here. To be honest if she is truly happy with the guy she's not the person I thought I knew. I think I have no other choice but to talk to her.
