Cellular Mods Your cell phone is really just a specialized computer with a wireless network connection. It has the software that your cellular provider has picked for you, but their software sucks. Why not replace what they give you with better software that has more features?

Arrow Cell phone unable to receive text messages

My girl's cell phone fails to receive text messages from me or anyone else. I don't got her cell phone with me to be able to figure out the problem or whatever she fucked up so I want a list of possible causes to suggest her to try and work out (a full inbox is not one of 'em, and neither is lack of credit on the phone.)

List.

Maybe texts aren't in her contract, so the provider disabled it.

I know that a lot of Motos on the old Nextel network could only receive texts from Nextel itself, not from other cell phones.

We both got the same brand, and she was able to receive texts a couple weeks ago.

It could be that the provider has put a block on texts(if say, her parents called and requested it).

The text settings could have been changed as well. There's very specific settings, for each provider, required for the configuration of text messages.

This is the catch-all for cell phone related posts.

The forum description would disagree with you.

I doubt it, 'cuz she owns the phone/service, albeit without a plan 'cuz she got no-one 18+ to cosign for her. Nevertheless, she didn't voluntarily cancel her txting service.

Likely, and what I'm thinking is the most probable cause. But as I said, I don't have her phone with me to confirm it. We both got the same brand, (I'm running a modified version) so I'll just summarize the possible settings she might've fucked up and see how to reconfigure.

The description does not encompass the full spectrum of what this area is about.
