help with a delicate solution
hey guys i think this is the first time i have posted here anyway the situation is this
This girl in my year at college just broke up with her boyfriend of three years, he used to be a good friend of mine but having seen how he treated her i now would happily cause him worlds of untold pain (hes a weedy little cunt, with him its all talk no fucking balls). any way since she broke up with him she has turned to me for companionship and comfort, i think she is really beautiful and she is probably the closest thing to a soulmate i will ever have. So naturally i want to take things further, but i do not want to upset her by trying anything too soon. I am staying at her house this weekend it will just be me and her and we are going to a party on saturday night. So totse my question is this should i make a move and what is the best way to go about it ?

First off, how long ago did they break up?

Re: help with a delicate solution
If their breakup was recent you may want to hold off for a while.
She may go back to him. She may be scared and lonely after breaking up with him and simply use you as a safety blanket till she's dealt with it.
There's just so many opportunities for you to get hurt at this point.

Re: help with a delicate solution
See where things go, if she starts getting up close and personal, make the move and see where things go..give her what she wants, otherwise if your in the position and you turn her down you'll make her confused. But of course don't force anything on her if shes not wanting. It is a delicate situation but just don't worry about it too much and let things come into play as time passes.

Re: help with a delicate solution
Hang about on this one mate...You could be making some mistakes here.
She turned to you for companionship when she was with the weedy fucker...That would suggest friendship only to me. But women tend to be a fucking enigma.
In your situation, I would go to her house this weekend and just see what happens. Don't push anything and don't try it on with her. Just chill and see what happens.
If her previous companionship was a front for feeling something for you then there's a decent chance of something transpiring.
Just take it easy and push this gently.
Remember, softly, softly, catchy monkey! :p

Re: help with a delicate solution
Funnily enough, this is strangely very close to my situation, and as of about 3 hours ago, I'm now going out with the girl.
In mine i just asked her out, told her i liked her, went to her house, watched a film and went to kiss her, you may get hurt, but there is only one way to tell.

Re: help with a delicate solution
I would chill it for a bit until she is over the ex. As other people have explained she might end up using you and then 2-4weeks down the line breaking it off.
You need to make sure that the feelings you have for each other are here to stay before making any moves.

Re: help with a delicate solution
well i have had a lot of shit in my life so emotionally i am VERY hard to hurt and this girl and i have already been out on a few pseudodates ie getting a meal and talking etc but no physicality (dont take that the wrong way i aint a shallow guy) but i think she really likes me she is always snuggling up to me on sofas and stuff and generally really close to me dont worry i will not do anything she is not comfortable with and will make sure shes sure before anything happens

Even though she thinks it is the 'right' thing to do, a month down the line she most probably wont feel the same way. She is on the rebound.

Re: help with a delicate solution
Well just dont go all in with her, that way if she does dip out on you you wont have any loss. I mean shit go out with her have a good time and take what is offered(if you want) what are the consequences if she decides its not right and vanishes on you? You wasted your time and effort, and if your not strong mentally, youll get some time with depression haha.
Alot of times, unless a girl is a easy go'er or one of the goofy ones, when shes out of a relationship shes out, the only reason shed be hanging around her ex anymore would be because she has no one else and cant get anyone else.
I could be wrong, but its not a opportunity to just not try and pass up.
I myself got a setup with a girl that was sort of fresh out of her relationship, but luckily she was out of reach for a while, so it seems as if shes over him and alot of time has passed(6 months) but even in my case what people are saying here, she could manage to get back to him. Itd just be a fucking sin to say no im too worried about trying because she might get back with her ex. I dont see it happening.

Re: help with a delicate solution
There was a girl that was a year above me in secondary, i must of been 14/15, she just exited a 1 year relationship and hadn't had any proper sexual contact with him. One month later she shows interest in me. Couple of weeks later we are 'going out' another week later, we had sex and then the next week she dumped me.
What an amazing experience! The sex was truely really bad(first time for the both of us), but at the time...
My point being you are most likely going to have a bit of fun, but dont expect it to last.

Only if you're lucky...
