Party with the Ex??
Alright here it goes:
My friend Crystal is having a party on saturday since she is home for thanksgiving. I was invited awhile ago, and I accepted.
However, I recently was informed that my ex is probably going to go as well. Now, I don't have a problem with her w/e but her new boyfriend is a different story.
When he first started dating her, he was calling me up wanting to "talk" and I basically told him to buzz off. Then his ego started taking over and he started talking shit to my stepsister and stepbrother calling them "spics" and "island niggers" and shit like that. Well, I don't take kindly to people talking shit about my family, and neither does my family. My stepbrother is a 2nd degree black belt.
So, knowing my ex gf, she will most likely bring this guy around on saturday.
I have a bad temper. I have a burning desire to harm people when I believe they do me wrong. I can only imagine it comes from my mom being so wacked out, and my years spent in Kung Fu with my stepbrother before I picked up the guitar. It used to scare my ex when I gave her my "angry stare" lol
So, knowing me, I probably won't be able to control myself.
What should I do in this situation?
A.) Go, punk the kid off, assert my dominance, and make him apologize.
B.) Team up with my stepbrother (he was invited) to make him shit himself.
C.) Go but keep to myself. (not an option really...)
D.) Don't go.
E.) ????

Man, just make him apologise.
And martial arts, 9 times out of 10 is completely irrelevant to fighting.

Im sure he has no intentions of starting shit, so just go, if he does something let him know to man down real quick before he gets himself hurt, youre not looking to beat some pussy bitch's ass.

Re: Party with the Ex??
There is only one real "right" thing to do here. Talk to the host of the party. Because the exes boyfriend's ego, and you wanting revenge are way down the list of what is really important in a universal sense......people getting together to have a good time. If your ex is the host's best friend in the world......then you probably shouldn't go, because obviously she wants her friend there more than you. If you are closer friends to the host, then I'd say you have more rights to be there than the ex and her idiotic boyfriend. If its equally the same......then we have a huge grey area.
The whole point is, another person's party is NOT the place to settle vendetta's. Its a total buzzkill, shit could get broken, cops could come, unneeded drama at the very least. Don't get me wrong, I've been in PLENTY of fights or near fights at parties like this.....but it ain't right to the host or everyone else trying to just have some fun to piss on their good times because of past squabbles. Talk to the host and get their take.....THEN decide your course of action.

Re: Party with the Ex??
instead of physically fucking him up....fuck with his and her mind.
either bring a girl with you <best bet, or spit game at all the girls until you score....
just go and completely ignore them.
this will cause your ex girl to miss you and the guy will notice....which will completely make his character lose confidence with the girl and fuck his night all up.
get hammered and act as if they dont exist. the point of partying is to have a great time with friends + meet new people....not to be an angry little emo bitch.

Re: Party with the Ex??
Just go and steer clear of them if you can.
If he starts trouble with you, then you make him regret what he said.

^^ Heh
On topic, DONT GO!
I dont know why the guy is acting like such a prick. If he's being aggressive and randomly nasty to you allready, he's probably not going to be any better in person, with his girlfriend to prove he's a 'big man' to, and a large intake of alcohol.
Talking logical sense to him probably wouldnt work.

Re: Party with the Ex??
lol
You guys no jack shit about the dojo I went to. It wasn't really kung fu, it was the moves in kung fu, mixed with MMA, to use in a fight. In an hour class, we spent 40 minutes of it fighting. I'm not talking about face shields and shin guards, mostly just gloves and a time limit.
That is largely irrelevant anyway. All of MY friends will be there, so if he was smart, he would keep his mouth shut.
Anyway, I think I should go, its my neighborhood not theirs. And the ignoring thing seems like a good idea lol But I'm not so sure it will work. We've been over for 4 months now.
The thing is, I can't tell anyone I know they are coming unless I set myself up to look like a stalker or something. I swear, it was an accident on myspace that led me to read the comments on one end.
Edit: What are some other subtle ways I can make them feel awkward, uncomfortable, or unwelcomed?

Sounds pretty cool. Any warmup before the fighting? Ten minutes doesent seem much.

Re: Party with the Ex??
If it's your neighborhood, and your friends are going to be there, along with your black belt brother, I seriously don't see how you can't decide on this one.
Just act normally, have a good time. And when he starts shit, smack him down.

I seriously don't see how you can't decide on this one.
I just wanted to see how many people would object because I would be "ruining her party". I entertained that concept in my head for awhile, but I figured I could just be worrying too much, so I needed other people's opinions.
Thanks guys =)
I'm going and thats that. I'll try and ignore them, but if trouble finds me......it won't turn out well for him.

Re: Party with the Ex??
I once invited my ex to a party for the sole reason of making fun of her and her new bf.
Yeah, I'm bitter, and I don't mind admitting it.

Re: Party with the Ex??
Yeah kung fu or jui jitsu or whatever the fuck you do that makes you think your a crazy ninja doesn't mean jack shit in a fight.
Even a 7ft tall 500 pound guy will be on his knees with one good crack to the jaw.
When in doubt, knock em out.
So just walk up and do a flying headbutt (where ya grab him, jump towards him and shatter his nose all in one motion) and continue partying.

Is your family full of spics and island niggers? He probably has a point.

My family is largely puerto rican. Despite that, he is still a racist bastard.
I'll most likely end up making fun of them. They are nowhere near being the sharpest tools in the garage. It was always easy to pick on my ex, now that I'm not going out with her, I don't have to stop when she whines about it haha

Re: Party with the Ex??
k options...
1. walk up to them while they are together completely ignoring the guy say to the girl "drop the zero and get with the hero" still ignore the guy.
2. walk up to them ignoring girl, shake guys hand and say "hey buddy im glad you could make it, did you bring your girlfriend?"
3. pretend to be blind and ask them if they have seen your car keys...
4. bring a fat chick and when they are within distance say loudly "...but yeah i moved onto bigger and better things"
5. flirt with your ex constantly
6. go into the coat room and shit on new bf's coat.

None of these if you're older than 10.

Improvement on this:
Bring a REALLY fat chick, and when in earshot of your ex tell the fat girl how much thinner and prettier she is than your ex.
