How does bole make boil? If anything it should be pronounced hyberbol (with a long o). But hyperbole is from Greek and there are different standards for English pronunciation of Greek words.

Like hippopotamus. Or loose vagina. Or the worst word is no, but sometimes it means yes. Like Noah's ark yes the animals had sex even tho they said nooooo ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOO!!!! I heard of that rule for Norwegian, but not for English. Perhaps its true for Germanic derived English words, or Anglish. But strength seems Germanic, the Norwegian work is "styrke" which seems somewhat similar. Or was it maybe three consonants per syllable? And its probably based on pronounciation. "Th" is pronounced as one consonant, which means you could invent a new letter in its place.

Re: English words you dont like
I don't like the word "cheap."
It's an equivocal word.
And I don't like the word "everyone."
Because it's not considered plural.
I suspect some words that could be rid from the English language because there are more proper/elite words would be the following:
very
a lot
I like to use the word "very" when I'm being lazy or simplistic with my rhetoric. It depends if I can risk the ability to not seem like I'm intelligent while being concise with my words and getting my main ideas across.
And "a lot," I don't really use that anymore. I think it's too English, because it would refer to a plot of land or a parking lot. To say the least, the term is indefinite.

I hate 'youse', as in " How can i help youse?" " Does this soiled mattress belong to any of youse?"
Are we Australians the only ones plagued by this painful literary abomination?

Since the English language has evolved quite a bit since it's written form was standardized, English words aren't always pronounced how they're written. I wonder how we'd type if the written language followed the evolution. A lot of English words use French spellings, especially those with ph and c in them, while those with K and other more typical Germanic ones are pronounced more like they're spelled.
