Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
Who has any? I'm sorry I don't know what else to say.
How did it go? Did you think you were being compared to your friend? Did it eat you up knowing someone you knew was with your partner? Did the friendship detriorate?

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
I cant see what harm it would do. Then when you're telling your buddies about it afterwards, they'll be able to relate all the more with firsthand experience. 'Oh, yeah, I love it when she does that.'

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
You know, people are gonna say bros before hoes, but really, there are a lot of situations where people would be totally ok with that. Depends on the friend who's girl it was, the nature of their relationship, how it ended, etc...

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
Dude, like everyone else has said, it depends.
If they dated for a few weeks and broke it off normally, hell yeah, give it a week or two then go for it.
Then again, what if they dated for a few YEARS?! That means you need to stay the hell away - not to save your friendship, but to save yourself from all the fucking drama that will ensue. Trust me, it's not worth it if it's that type of situation.

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
Apparently I'm outnumbered in my opinion, but I think friends' ex's should be off limits.
I mean, how hard is it to expand outwards? Do you have that hard of a time meeting new people that you just have to continuously cycle through the people you know?
Or, is it a lack of self control?
Either way, for the most part, I blame the females. They're the most careless ones. I mean, a girl will steal her best friends boyfriend away and not feel an ounce of shame or guilt.
Anyway, I've never found myself attracted to a friends' ex. For one thing, in most case, they probably wouldn't appreciate it too much, and I respect that. And for another thing, there are plenty of fucking fish in the sea anyway.
And not only that, but if this person is your friend, and they broke up on bad terms, do you really think that they want to be around their ex all the time?
I don't know. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like a lot of people lack consideration for their friends.

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
Friend's ex's are off limits...I wouldn't risk fucking things up between me and a buddy for his cast off.
I have, however, fucked one of my brother's birds while he was with her...He told me to do it...I don't think he cared much for her by that point and knew I needed a shag!
It was cool sitting back and chatting a while later saying "Fuck mate...When she goes violent, it's fucking cool!" and he's like "Yeah...when she goes on top...That annoyed me." and I reply with "Know what you mean...I don't mind doing the work...But not fuckin' all of it!"
Then it turned to "But her mate was good weren't she?!"...And I says "Best shag I've had for a while!"
Sharing can be good...

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
A relationship?
That would be difficult, unless it was a truly amiable breakup.
I don't think I'd be willing to try it unless I substantially cared for the girl.
Friends have dated and slept with people I dated; it doesn't bother me, as long as they're happy with the situation.

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
Yup.
Its not as simple as the usual case though.
I dated this girl about 3/4 years ago. I then broke up with her. My mate went out with her for about two year then they broke up. I then slept with her like 6 months after they broke up.
Now he is a bit funny on the entire topic and I can't chat to him about her:( Also i dont think he was very happy at all with what I did.
If you think about it, when we were 14, even though it is not in the slightest on the same level, he did the equivalent to what i did to him. For example we were little kids so we werent in a proper intimate relationship, but at that time it was new grounds. I break up with her, he then starts dating her.
Now x years later they break up and i sleep with her.
Do I have a point? I have never really voiced the idea before.
We are pretty good mates like.

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
Never a relationship......but fucked plenty of my buddies exes. Lotta weird and engaging stories on that note, but since it sounds like you are looking for more emotional attachment scenarios I won't bother divulging any further.
I will say this though.....if you ever hook up with a broad and after doing the deed she says something like...."OMGZ, you are so much better/bigger/longer than_____" you never really look at your buddy the same way again. Because at that point any time you guys are surfing chicks and he is trying to talk about his game....you'll know completely otherwise. Nothing will give you a heartier laugh inside if your dude says....."damn man, I would tap that shit ALL night long and make her walk funny in the morning", when in reality you know it would be like 30 seconds with him throwing a hotdog down a hallway. *Snicker snicker*

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
My girl cheated on me with my bestfriend and less than a week later I was with the girl he cheated on when him and my girl hooked up. Somehow we are still very good friends. However double dating is out of the question.

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
When his girlfriend broke up with him, she instantly went over to me. My friend told me to not fuck her because she's a huge slut blah blah blah horrible at fucking. Then after I fucked her(the bitch convinced me to go out with her) My friend and I looked each other awkwardly and was like "Nah it's nothing, dont worry about it"
I regretted it. Not for fucking that skank, but I should have listen to his advice.

The slut that sleeps with you and your friends is the same whore that will lie to you. You want to believe it, because you'd like to think of yourself as a good lover. (everyone does). As much as you want to believe it's true, it doesn't mean you can trust her.
No, I don't care how hard she was breathing when she said it. That is irrelevant.
Nothing that comes out of the mouth of that slut can be trusted.
She's probably saying the same thing about you to her new fuck buddy... regardless of how good you actually are.
It's the nature of the beast.

Agree on everything you said above in theory.....but in practical application, its not necessarily true. What about word of mouth references? If she beds me, tells me I'm good....and then days or weeks later her friend starts calling me up and now the friend beds me, in my mind she wasn't lying and is telling the world about my prowess. Make sense? What if I told you in one of those scenarios I fucked her, 2 of her friends, her little sister, and came within an eyelash of getting a blowjob from her mom? Still think she is lying to me, or is there some truth to what she is telling me and everyone else?

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
Haven't done it. A good friend of mine is now dating his best friends ex, and there's no problem between them at all, they still hang out regularly.
If you can tell your friend the truth and they're cool with it, then what's the problem? Of course, if I dated my bestfriend's ex, he would probably kill me/himself, it all depends on the situation I suppose. How long the relationship was, who loved who,
etc...
Hope I've helped.

Well, maybe. If other people are calling because she's spreading the word, then perhaps she's not lying.
The post was really meant to be a general guideline to all those people who actually believe them...
I still wouldn't trust her farther than a typical leash can go.

Re: Experiences where you get in a relationship with a friends ex
My best friend of 20 years is currently living with my ex boyfriend. Our dating situation was hard to explain but it was off and on for years. They started dating not 3 months after we'd had sex for the last time. It has ruined my friendship with the ex (we were incredibly good friends even when broken up), and my relationship with my best friend has been shattered. We've tried to work through it countless times, I don't even give a shit she's dating him at this point, but the damage is already done and it's almost impossible to fix the feelings of betrayal, abandonment, and loss (for my best friend). I could care less about the boyfriend, he exposed himself for the manipulative leech he was in the months they started dating.
This story is far longer and complicated than that as it affected our entire community of friends but I think this is the gist of it.
Oh and I'm writing this post almost 1.5 years after the fact.

Sounds like a situation everyone has been around or gone through. Don't date a friend's ex. Always leads to dramatic bullshit.
