It tore me up that she treated me like she did over the particular issue. But to cut a long story short she contacted me again and said she was sorry for treating me like she had. It turned out she had a scarring secret which explained why she reacted like she did. But what she did really burnt me and I'm not sure if I should take her back at all. It's a real bugger because i still do love her but I dont want to get hurt like that again.

The big question is whether I should give her a chance or just show her the door.

Give it a bit of time, tell her that you'd rather think about it a bit, if she backs out right away then it was more of 'easier option' move by her, if she sticks around and lets you decide it then maybe she's actually sorry and thinks it's worth it.
