Default Facebook Date

I recently upgraded from the MySpace crowd to a facebook account. I added a random chick 2 weeks ago, and tonight I'm going on a date with her!

We're both 21, we have ALOT in common, we like the same movies (We're gonna see Deathproof), we're both single and she's cool with me being away now and then. I have talked to her on the phone and it all seems cool.

My question is, has anyone here met anyone purely on MySpace/Facebook and ended up going on a date with them? I'm picking her up, it's kinda weird never meeting anyone beforehand though!! I'm a confident guy and any advice/tips would be appreciated!

------------------------------------------------------------------

OK so the date went excellent :) She's a beautiful girl and we had the best time!!! Turns out she wasn't a trucker or 50yo lady :) I heart facebook :O

HAHA it can be done man, idk how many more times anyone has to say it....its like a bonus option when it comes to talking to girls, that is if you know what your doing. I've done it, it works, and is fun, but dont always expect it to work 24/7, u may end up with a 200lb truck driver from Georgia getting lucky tonight*

We're both 21, she has almost the SAME views on religion as me, (Which is no religion)

Really, what are the odds?

I know, him saying that sounded quite ridiculous. Many people these days are atheist or agnostic, it really isn't hard to find them on a college campus.

On the other hand, people with highly developed and controversial political, social, and ethical ideas, such as myself, often have a hard time finding someone whom we can relate to on most things.

Exactly. The last 2 girls i was with, one turned out to be a self converted Christian and the other hated the notion that I believed in natural selection/survival of the fittest.

It's hard to find someone that's compatible with the same belief values.

I met my last girlfriend on myspace and we actually dated for almost 6 months. I've also had a one night stand with a chick from myspace, she wanted to date me but I realized she was really annoying after hanging out about 4 times. I've also met quite a few girls on there and went out and partied with them and shit. I see no problem with it, good luck to ya bro.

Good work, but Death Proof sucked.

Here we go with a summary:

45 minutes of boring girl talk, 5 minutes of killing, 45 minutes of boring girl talk, 15 minutes of killing, lame ending.

I've almost met girls from online, but I thought why bother. If they're from my town, I'll probably bump into them sooner or later down the road and there are so many girls out there.

I met my fiance through myspace over 2 years ago. But we both went to the same college so I guess we would have met anyway. We chatted online a bit before we met in person and then agreed to meet at the student center. I am still really embarassed when people ask how we met, but eh, that's life! Good luck.

Yeah this was a concern for me. I've told a couple of mates about it, they seem cool with it I guess, family would be a little less understanding. As one friend said, it doesn't matter how pussy cometh, as long as you get it! I figured that it's ok nowadays with alot of ppl using it for the same reasons.

I never INTENDED to meet this girl when I added her, we just got along so well!

When I was 14 I met a guy through myspace. A friend of mine had met him randomly in a chat room when i was like 12 and we talked on aim for like 2 years and then i moved to his city (randomly) and we decided we'd hang out.
He was pretty chill but okay. I was in 8th grade and he was in 10th, and I had never kissed a guy outside of truth or dare, and the night ended basically with us talking about his ex then him being like "it would make me feel a lot better if you went down on me"
yeah that was my first romantic exchange.
oh so beautiful.
"dated" for about a month. it was relaly confusing cuz i didnt like him but some guys use weird pressuring techniques to convince you that it's an okay relationship.

You know what that means don't you? If you meet someone through myspace you'll have a baby.

I met a girl on Nexopia (another social networking site) and we went out.

I stayed up the entire night before though, so I was really tired.

I had like 3 espressos, but it didn't help at all.

She said she liked me -- she was actually the one who found me on the site -- but that I didn't talk enough. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
