Default Really sweet, or really stalkerish?

Alright, so i was just at food lion pickin up some things for my mom. Well when i went to hand the cashier my stuff, she looked at two bottles of pepsi and some nutty bars(not gonna lie, the nutty bars were mine), and she laughs and says, "Is this your dinner?" and i smile back at her, and i was just like "damn," and laughed with her for a minute. Well, i was in a rush, and i felt weird about one of my boys being there, so i didn't really try to "spit game". But as i was walking out, i turned back and saw her smiling at me. And a good smile, not like laughing at kinda smile.

Well, i was thinking about what i could do to go back and talk to her. And as i was on my way home i thought about walking back in there tomorrow, getting a card that is like a just because, or just thinking about you, and writing a little note or something to her. Saying something along the lines of, "Hey, what's up? I don't know if you remember me or not, but i'm that cute guy who you thought was going to eat nutty bars and coke for dinner monday night. I'm mad about not introducing myself then but my names B******, and my number is *******.

After i write that on there, just walk up to the register, pay for it, ask her what her name is, and write it on the card. I'll give it to her, smile, and walk out.

Now i don't know if that's really sweet, or really stalkerish? Help me figure it out.

What have you got to lose? The money spent on the card?

Go for it.

If you play it right, really sweet. Good luck, and nice idea.

I think you should write on the card before you go up to her... That way when she goes to hand it to you after she scans it and you pay for it, just say "keep it, it's for you" or something like that.

Seems stalkery.

A better alternative:

Aisle 3 - bleach.
Aisle 4 - acetone
Freezer aisle - bag of ice
Aisle 13 - bucket

I think you can take it from here... (http://www.erowid.org/archive/rhodium/chemistry/chloroform.html)

Yeah, that's what i said, or at least what i meant. That'd be weird to write it all out in front of her, lul.

But do you think i should rephrase it or anything?

Personally, I would be a little weirded out, but not to the point where I would think you were a freak or anything. I would just think you were trying too hard.

Then again, I'm not a girl.

Anyway, when you go back in there just try to talk to her. You don't need any of this fancy card bullshit, just strike up a conversation with her and see where it goes.

It's mixing your messages.

The words you threw out there are cocky, while the card is sweet. Why?

Just go there when you're buying something next time and include the card in your purchases; tell her that the card is for her. Write whatever you'd like, but include your name and number. Tell her that you'd like to talk to her later.

Don't just take off full speed after she has the card, give her a second to respond.

If you're feeling particularly confident, buy the things to make supper and ask her if she'd like to come over for dinner after her shift.

No, my name is not brandon, and i live in north carolina. But i would try to talk to her, but i don't wanna have to worry about other customers coming up, otherwise i might would have tried then.

Ah, yes. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Lately I've been misreading everything for some reason. I don't know what's wrong with me.

I would leave out this part: "but i'm that cute guy who you thought was going to eat nutty bars and coke for dinner monday night"

And put something like "but I talked to you the other day and I can't believe I didn't think to introduce myself"

That's just a personal preference though, because I don't like guys that are really cocky, and it seems like you are when you refer to yourself as "that cute guy" and by assuming that you're special enough for her to remember you going through her line.

I agree with all of this except for the last line. Two reasons:
1) He probably lives with his mom (since he was buying stuff for her, I'm assuming he does), and having a girl over for dinner with her there would just be awkward.
2) There's no way in hell I would go to some guy's house if I had just met him. There are crazy people out there, and a guy asking me to come to his house the second time I met him would send out 'psycho' vibes like crazy.

just go in there the next couple days and buy a candy bar or something...thats what i would do but you are probably less passive/shy than i am. Smile at her everytime you do it and then after a couple days say something to her.

DONT WORRY ABOUT IT.
Default Re: Really sweet, or really stalkerish?

Yea it seems like ur crossing 2 barriers there. You could just tell her all that stuff then slide her your number after you finish your small chat with her.

Id roll up this time , with 2 nutty bars again, and w/e, else u bought last time, be like yup im just getting some dinner here for myself...its my favorite, beats real meals. Then just got from there....idk its just what id do.

That was good. Thanks for the laugh.

OP: Just go directly to her and introduce yourself. Be really confident of yourself, don't act nervous at all. Be nice but not too nice, if she is interested in you, you will notice and then you are in.

Girls, tell me if I'm wrong.

What about just going back for some stuff and asking for her number?

Or is that too simple these days?
