You gotta understand Ziggurat, the girls who don't want to go out to parties and drink and get fucked up pretty much don't want to because of the fact that they already have a boyfriend. The way things work around here (I'm assuming your in college?) is that you go out, have fun, and get shitty at the bars and clubs because your single and its a way to meet people. Then when you find someone you like and who likes you back, you can both just spend time together/not go out all the time/go out with them. So you saying you don't like to go to parties and generally being introverted doesn't really work when you don't have someone to be introverted with.


Basically being boring and staying home while single is not ok and wouldnt attract as many girls, while being boring with your chick whom you can fuck = acceptable.

The problem is that I'm actually the nicest guy you'd ever want to know. I don't drink, don't smoke, don't do/sell drugs, don't steal, and I'm not like half the guys out there who only want sex from girls...in fact I'm quite protective of them.

I fail see how abstaining from typical adolescent activities makes you a nice person, but I'll take your word for it. Such behavior can, however, carry connotations of emotional maturity and respectability when combined with other things, such as being financially independent at your age, having a strong sense of life-purpose/"going somewhere", etc.


I can remember in highschool, I liked this one girl...she had a boyfriend, though I could tell she kind of liked me too. I used to make her little paper boats, and every time she got one she'd be all embarassed and be like "You know I have a boyfriend...". One day I made one for her and the teacher started saying we should go out and stuff, at which point she ran out of class into the bathroom embarassed.

The paper boat thing strikes me as kind of weird and uncalled for. Possibly "cute" from her perspective, but bordering on creepy behavior, especially if she wasn't sexually attracted to you.


She used to say to me, "You act like an old man, like a father, you don't drink, don't go to parties, don't do anything, you're protective." I'd say "Is that a bad thing...?" To which she'd reply, "Well...no." Well guys...is it?

Seeming like a father figure can be a good/attractive trait depending on the girl, but seeming like a father figure in an old man way is a bad/unattractive thing at age 18. Just my personal take.

No, certainly not. I'm not trying to be a dick here, but I can assure you that there is no shortage of overweight computer-addicted "nice guys" who don't go to parties. Dime a dozen, sitting in bedrooms in every suburb in the world, posting threads just like this to their favorite forums. To offset your unattractive traits, you're going to have to bring something special to the table.

Or better yet, just forget about this chick for now and work on improving some shit before you settle into uncomfortable numbness & a lifetime of loserhood. Shedding some pounds, generally being more active, getting a job/enrolling in college and setting & achieving other goals that will help you attain self-confidence and whatnot.

You know man, I used to be like you. I remember, in the way back when, when I was around 14 or 15, I had this view that women were special, and sex was something that was supposed to be special between two people who were very emotionally invested. Sex is merely physical gratification on a mutual (sometimes less, sometimes more) level. It's not like there's this magical sex spirit that inhabits your body when you're in love with someone that says it's ok to have carnal relations.

Fucking every guy you dated? Not slutty. Here's your illogic: A girl dates 40 guys in 5 years, has sex with half (that's 20, if you're no good at math). A girl dates 5 guys in 5 years, and ahs sex with all of them. Which is sluttier?

And I mean, c'mon sex isn't dirt, or icky, or wrong, and it's not taking advantage of a girl to have sex wth her the first time you meet her. In fact, there are a LOT of girls that want to fuck the first time you meet them. I've met plenty.

And hell man, great sex can lead to an emotional attachment and mutual understanding that wouldn't have been there before sex. You're going to be a lot better off when you shed you're puritanical, Victorian ideas about sex and women. Women have had several feminist/empowerment movements for a reason: they are sick of being treated as incapable of taking care of themselves, or as delicate.
