I believe in love. I don't believe that love is forever, or that "love can conquer anything" and all that bullshit. I don't believe in true love.
I believe that love comes easily after "like". For me, "liking" to loving is just like having a thousand dollars. And, in time, with investments, enterprise, etc, you turn that thousand dollars into $50,000.
That's how I see it. As long as you have that thousand, you can get the fifty. Meaning loving one person and having there love means nothing, essentially; but having it sure is good.

Cynical? Yeah, probably, but fuck it.

Love is a trick nature plays on us in order to make us reproduce. Thats about it.

And to keep/bring up/look after our offspring until they're able to handle themselves.

EDIT: because love of the mother/father brings offspring to life; love of the son/daughter makes sure they stay that way -- alive.

I was at a place like a year ago for a job interview and there was this girl there who worked there and I fell in love with her, like literally, straight away, and she dumped her boyfriend over the phone for me and everything and it was so surreal and I've only just in the last few weeks realised exactly what happened and now I'm down because I let it get away.

And I want her back, but I only knew her for a short time, but we loved each other madly and now I don't know if I'll ever find her again or if she's well and truly forgotten me.

So do you reckon that stuff lasts a while? It was like a dream, I had no idea where I was or what I was doing.
