Are you guys still chasing that first high?
You know what I mean. That first relationship where it was everything you wanted and more, that chick you put up on a pedestal as a goddess and finally got with, the girl you thought was out of reach. The one who things ended amiably (or not so amiably) with and you still have a blast hanging out with. The best fuck you've had.
Any or all of the above.
'Cuz for me, it's gotten to the point where i'm not motivated at all to get laid or do work on anyone, because I've never found anyone who comes close to H (not smack). Being with her was probably the most positive influence in my life, and has by and large shaped who I am today (in terms of taste in fashion and art, as well as emotionally).
No one but her, or someone comparably amazing, seems worth my time.
Anyone feel the same?

Re: Are you guys still chasing that first high?
I don't think I've had her yet :/
I mean, I feel that way every time a new girl comes into my life, but never has it been a lasting thing. Disillusionment comes too quickly?
My most recent ex- comes close. I might be feeling as you described if we had ended on better terms, I suppose.

Re: Are you guys still chasing that first high?
Can't really say i've ever felt the slightest bit like that. Possibly because I was so much more mature than everyone else in HS(and even through uni), I never had the same obessive "in love" thing going on. Hell im much older now and probably going to marry the girl im with now and I don't feel like that. I just have so many other things in my life to think about, and take care of(I mean that in a good way too), that thinking like that just doesn't fit with my lifestyle.
I love my gf and all that, but the whole "up on a pedastal" getting treated like a princess BS seems like something you do when you're 16. Not so much when you're 26 and got a real life to live.

Re: Are you guys still chasing that first high?
What I had with the first girl I had sex with is my unicorn mate. I know I'll never find the exact same thing again but it doesn't stop me trying.
With her it was awesome...The first time I saw her I was fucking blown away. I had seen hot girls before but she was by far a fucking goddess.
With that in mind, it became apparent to me that I would have nothing more than a couple of words with her. Yet we started hanging out together, she was flirting with me and I didn't realise for a while...Then I did and we got together.
The following days were sweet...Talking, joking, walking around, kissing and cuddling in and out of a bed and the public displays of affection were great...Like showing everyone "Hehehehehe...I got this action and you don't! HA!"
Then we had sex and she said I was amazing. So my confidence went up a thousand-fold.
She would come across London to see me and hang out...Have sex...Whatever.
And It was good...Because even though we were doing the boyfrind/girlfriend stuff, it was like sitting with an old and close friend. Just being who we were. Not bothered by what anyone thought or saw.
Then she had to move away...We were together for about three months...I called her in Liverpool and broke it off because I thought it would be unfair to have a boyfriend she never saw and a girl as great as her should be out to find someone else. She was alright with it I guess but she said the sex didn't have to stop. That whenever she's in London, she'll get in touch.
Never saw her again. But I'm not unhappy. I just remember what a great time I had with her and how much she helped me come out of my shell and be more confident in myself.
I'll never find it again. Well, not the exact same thing. But that's a story for another day.

I feel ya... and I'd like to hear that story sometime.
With her though, it wasn't just sex... The sex just happened to be the best I've had. It was about six months. About five months in, though, I just realized that she didn't love me anymore. She called me crying, saying she did... It took me another month to realize that things wouldn't change.
Somehow, we were both dating other people within a day of breaking up.

Re: Are you guys still chasing that first high?
I'm actually trying to avoid that first high. That's pretty much how I feel every time I fall for a girl. And it's too intense for me to handle once it's over, so I'd pretty much rather avoid it altogether.

Re: Are you guys still chasing that first high?
i'm lookin for it and avoidin it
My ex was.....brilliant......but in the end, it turned out to great
I was so satisfied with my life that i stopped changing, anything. I stopped growin on a mental lvl after a while and let's face it, 18 is not the age to do this.
Plus the end was horrible. Great love can be the cause of the nastiest things people ever said to eachother and did simply cause it hurts.
Hell, i'm babblin

Slightly, though deep down I know it will never happen, and part of me doesn't want it to happen.

Re: Are you guys still chasing that first high?
My ex was incredible. But she wasn't that. I had to change a lot just to be around her, i thought she was the most amazing person ever. I was by no means the happiest i've ever been, not even close. We had fun, but i still couldn't really be myself.

Re: Are you guys still chasing that first high?
Idk some of the girls ive been with it just sets the margin higher. Ill be talking at or taking out some quality girls and i just cant get that same feel going with like some before. It really is a block mentally cause i realize i have a high end girl here and im just like heh, cant compare. Hate to fucking have a mindset like this cause it can really jip you out of some good times with any girls that arent up to that level.

Re: Are you guys still chasing that first high?
I feel ya on this....
im not chasing it anymore because it seems to far for me to reach.
but i had the (almost) perfect girl, definitely a dime, sweetest thing ever, and she wasn't about the drama.
things ended horribly about 6 months ago and we haven't talked at all until like two weeks ago, since then we have hung out twice and the last time involved alot of kissing and cuddling...we both know that we still love each other.
she is at college like 40 minutes away and im here at community college...
she actually started another relationship like two weeks after it ended but this kid was a rebound who got her when she was voulnerable....but after i talked to her she broke up with him.
then she told me she wants to remain single.
its hard to deal with......
ive tried dating other girls but blehhhh nothing.
when will this feeling subside?

Fuck yeah mate.
My ex was amazing...A total bitch at times. Cheated, lied, moaned and blamed me for everything wrong she did.
So I kept changing things about myself that made me angry at myself and everything around me. Like, I'm changing, why isn't anything else?
I changed so much for her...I would've done anything to make that work...And I tried...But I was far from happy.
That's why it fell apart.
But when the times were good, they were great.

Re: Are you guys still chasing that first high?
Fuck it I'm bored and not tired enough to sleep yet....
There's this girl...There's 5 years between us, me being older.
I've known her since she was 13. And she's been in love with me since then.
Now when she was 13, it was cute but fucking annoying..."Pete, I love you!" and "Pete you're the best!"
Basically idolising me.
So I made it clear we were only friends because she was too young. It would be illegal, wrong and I couldn't even think about anything further than friendship wih her because it made me feel...Icky.
So we went on like that...I'd be her friend and give her advice about teenage years and boys and shit. She listened to a lot of it and I enjoyed looking out for her.
Two years ago, I went on holiday overseas to see friends and family...And funnily enough she lives there. By this time, she's 15.
Now this girl knows the clubs and partying scenes so we were always going out and having a great time. We were hanging out together pretty much every day for 2 weeks. It was cool.
One night we're a little tipsy, very tired from partying and we're walking and talking and she says "You know I never stopped loving you. I always will." This got me thinking.
For someone to love me for who I am for two years even though I'm being a friend to her and nothing more it was like, woah, what the fuck?
At that moment I realised how beautiful she was. She was a pretty girl when she was younger but that's all...Nothing sexual at all to it.
We kissed that night...And it wasn't awkward at all...I know she is a lot younger than me but as long as we ain't playing with genitals, all is legal and cool. And 16 is sexual consent age there anyways.
Nothing much changed the next day...We went out and had a nice day, chilled in the afternoon, went out to a couple clubs that night, danced all night and kissed a few times more. The next day nothing was uncomfortable.
Well when I left and came home, we stayed in touch for a month or so but due to unforseen circumstances on both ends we lost touch.
I then met my ex and was with her for near enough two years.
Scroll forward two years, I'm single, playing around, enjoying being single and thinking of going over there to see my uncle and she texts me...Out of the blue.
So the last few days we've been in touch via email and text and stuff.
And it's apparent she still has feelings for me, if not still in love with me. Now five years of being in love with me says something.
She's 18 this year and I'm going there early next year. So whatever.
But it makes me wonder...Is this the girl I'm meant to be with?...Two years of no communication whatsoever and she still loves me...We have missed each other's company for two years solid...The hundreds of miles between us (there has to be a kick in the balls to a good situation!)
Something tells me yes.

well i had a problem with weed and klonopin so i was somewhat psychotic...i never physically hit her or anything like that but i was very verbally abusive.
I said some pretty mean things and i got way to paranoid about the wrong girl(i always suspected she was cheating on me) and i know for a fact she would never do that.
sooooo about a month before it ended we would get into huge fights and she got fed up with my bullshit.
and when i told her i needed some time away she ended things all together and my world came crashing down. When this happened she blocked all 6 screen names on aim, changed her number, basically deleted me from her life.
We wouldn't talk for the next 6 months....she unblocked me about a month ago and i have been trying to take it nice and slow.
ps i have been clean for 2 months now and i am never touching it again.
