With great power comes great responsibilty
:(
I feel I shouldn't really have this power.
You see, my girlfriend really likes me.
Like, really. She is really in love with me.
She has very few friends, her parents are quite horrible I can imagine, and treat her like crap. Treat her siblings like princes and princessess.
She also has very low self esteem, which becomes very evident since even after 3months with her, she still seems very confident.
But there are those little things that give away that its just a shell.
But she is very very much in love with me, and she wants me to move to Ireland with her to study and she says that after that shell move anywhere in the world with me. (were 15)
I thought that we were joking around, but later I realised she took it seriously.
And Im freaking out now because its so scary to have another erson depend on you and care for you this much.
Just venting....

Re: With great power comes great responsibilty
I dont know just how.
But she often begs me, yes, begs, to stay at her place.
A lot of the time she'll 'clamp' me (its adorable) cuz she says she has separation anxiety when it comes to me.
But I think she is quite dependant on me.
And the real bummer is that shes moving to the other side of the country next year.
And a long distance relationship with 8hour rides and both of us being in high school is not a good idea.
But shes determined to make it work.
Shes told me (and most people) she hates the idea of marriage.
I once said jokingly "you said I Do, that means were married"
She was like Yes! and said i should get a ring for her.
And it didnt seem like she was kidding.

Distance + maturity will most likely kill your relationship, unless you kill it first.
I'm not a cynic who's saying that LDRs cannot work, they just can't with your attitude.

Re: With great power comes great responsibilty
My honest opinion is that to be in a serious relationship you must first know who you are, be independant, and all that stuff. If you have one person that is emotionally unstable or completly dependant on the other it will screw things up.
It doesn't sound that this girl is actually ready for such a step. Long distance is not fun. But if you pull it off then it will make you stronger as a couple.
You say you are 15? Enjoy not having to pay bills, enjoy having cooked food on the table for you, enjoy it while you can.

Sometimes people need a serious relationship to learn who they are. Loving someone and being loved can both have powerful effects on a personality.

Unless you go with her?
If you really loved her, you would..
If she was really hot, you would..
Prepare for all the manipulation the female mind can muster.

Re: With great power comes great responsibilty
beany bean bean....you're 15 you still have 3 years to figure this out. Tell her you'll do it. And if in three years you feel the same way about it maybe you'll go. Don't get so stressed about something so far in your future, who know's if she'll even want to do it in 3 years.

15 year olds don't know shit.
Don't start planning for the future, thats just completely stupid when you're that young.

Re: With great power comes great responsibilty
Do you think im planning for the future?
If in in 10 years someone presented me with some 16 year old shit and told me he was gonna decide my life Id be pissed off.
Of course I dont think seriouisly that Ill move out from my parents at 16, move to the other side of Sweden and go to bording school with her.
What I meant was, that I really like her and I wanna make the best of the time we have, I dont wanna ruin it by straight up telling her its not gonna work out when she moves.

Re: With great power comes great responsibilty
Probably the best advice for breaking it up, is to not be an asshat about breaking up with her and fracturing her psyche completely. My current gf has had that happen to her before and she is all the worst for it, when i first started talking to her she had difficulty trusting anyone.
At 15 you have plenty of time to make up your mind and see what works for you. But often those things only work out when the both of you are very attracted to each other where not even the distance can break it.
The main point of the post is: Don't be an asshole!

If you're both 15, you're having pipe dreams mate.
See how it works out with Ireland when you guys are older and the situation is on the horizon.

After she pretty much did the dumping for you. Funny turnaround from this thread to that one, whereby she clearly shuns you and feels nothing for you.
