Default Loving someone to feeling nothing without a break inbetween

LONG

So I realized I still love my ex. Like I could easily live without kissing her or anything... but I realized I still do love her. Like I wouldn't convince her to be with me, but if she wanted to I could see me considering getting back together.

She has a new boyfriend. She actually overlapped us. So she doesn't love me in that way at all. It's a fact.

So this hurts but otherwise... we're getting better. Kinda because I don't need her sexually... but I realize that I would take her that way.

I don't think I can feel better until I wouldn't take her back. When I get to a place where I just don't even want her at all in a million years.

So we're becoming friends, being good... but I don't want to feel like I would potentially kiss her. Can I love her and see her constantly and just fade into not? Or do you think I'd need a significant break.

For the record we're both girls... our relationship break up was inevitable because we both want to marry men one day... it's just I could've been with her for a couple more years I think. I really do love her... and im just changing that to sisterly love kinda.

So yea... Can i just not do this. Is it just too hard to hang out with somene who you love?

_______

Short:

If you love something, can you see them consistently and just fade over time... or do you need time of no exposure to stop loving someone.

Cut off the relationship. At least for a while. The feeling won't fade if you're around her.

Stay away from her until you don't love her anymore I guess.

Just try to distance yourselves a little in a friendly way - a way that won't make her suspect something's wrong. Just once she's off your mind a bit more, and you're a little further down your own avenues, then she'll fade out of view a bit more to the point whereby you can safely say you don't feel the same way.

So you werent together because you "both wanted to marry men some day" ?
What, the , FUCK.

That's no reason to not be with someone, that's just a lame fucking excuse.

Tell her how you feel. Even if it doesent change her mind, you'll atleast know rather than suffer and think "what if..?" for the rest of your life.

Maybe the love for a person only really dies when that person you love beats it out of you.
