I've known this girl for most of my life and she's one of my best friends. I've always had feelings for her but lately they've become more pronounced. She's 14, I'm 15.

A few things you guys should know...

She just broke up with her boyfriend two days ago.
She has been asking me to get off the bus at her house, to hang out, go to lunch together, etc (within the past two days mostly).
I know her whole family and they all know mine.She's hot, not a slut but an awesome person, her looks match her personality perfectly.

Just a few minutes ago she asked me to go skating with her but i couldn't because I'm grounded, parents found a few little bottles of vodka in my room.

I've gone out with her best friend before and i don't know if she's going to hold that against me if i ask her out.

I'm pretty sure that she wants to, but if i mess up i'm pretty sure this would fuck up our relationship and i'd still want to be her friend even if she doesn't want to go out with me.

I need a subtle yet definite way to ask her out but it needs to be easy for me to get out of if she says no but not something she can turn around and use it on me.

Let her know, in no uncertain terms, that you have feelings for her beyond 'just friends' but that your frenship means too much to you have any thing else ruin that.

If you can put that into words that she can understand and beleive, there is no way that you can loose.

well, sorry to inform you but it really just sounds like your her rebound... you said that she's really only been wanting to spend time with you in the past 2 days... and so since she broke up with him. You can ask her out if you really want to but i doubt anything would last long... but you know, do what you want

I meet girls every so often who I screwed around with when I was a teenager and, even if things didn't go too well there are no grudges or ill feelings. Or if there are, you talk about them and blame it on being a dumbass teenager.

I only ever date close friends. If I like anyone enough to date them, odds are I'm already their close friend. Go for it, but don't jump headfirst into anything. Do it under the pretense of being friends, even if it doesn't work out. (I know it sounds idealistic, but unless you fuck up majorly, there is no reason for it to not work.)

Thing is...we were like this before she started going out with her old boyfriend...I just never could ask her out.

The last time this happened to me, which was quite recently, it worked out pretty well. I'm still quite good friends with the girl, and it's not awkward at all. In fact, I feel like I can be more myself around her as a friend than when we had a thing.

Sometimes the friendship becomes irreperably damaged. You're young, chances are in the end it will fuck it up.

However, most people don't stay that well in touch with a lot of "childhood" friends after college. And in high school, people and relationships change so much.

Lastly, it'll be an intense aand beautiful relationship. Most likely anyways.

I was bffs for about a year with this one chick. No sexual attraction whatsoever. One night we got drunk and 'hooked up' and about a month after that we started dating. I broke up with her around last February and she JUST started talking to me again a few weeks ago. She told me she misses me and we are actualy well on our way to being friends again.

If you both make a GOOD effort it's not that hard to be friends with your ex's, especialy if you were friends before hand. Just give it time, I can't stress that more, and if it wasn't to harsh of a breakup (ours involved lots of yelling but wasn't too bad) it isn't impoosible to become friends again.
