It seems like whenever someone brings up a guy "being ugly" on the totse, people just seem to ignore his opinion on himself and assume that he just has low self-esteem, as there are very few men that are really too ugly to be considered attractive with the right personality traits.

So the people assume he just needs more confidence, and that if he comes to like himself the rest wil fall into place naturally. They never give the boy any credit to evaluate himself properly, and always seem to fail to regard the potential scientific evidence that the person is more likely to judge themselves accurately when they have a somewhat negative view of themselves.

But remember that this is totse, afterall. People from the fringes of society are attracted here for the reasons of anonymity, the presence of likeminded people, etc. We have political extremists, people with fruit fetishes, autodidacts, nymphomaniacs, druggies, amateur terrorists, peadophiles, and a good smattering of 13 year olds just looking for an outlet for their angst. In this multicultural hodgepodge of the best and the worst modern postindustrial society has to offer, it isn't unreasonable to assume that some of these people are going to be the truly ugly individuals, blessed not by their Creator with even redeemable looks.

I am not discussing women here, only men. So what becomes of these men? Are they doomed to a life of solitude?

Is there really any advice for truly ugly men? We all know that personality can make up for many physical deficiencies for most people looking for a relationship, but this can only go so far. What becomes of a truly ugly man? Does he have virtually no chance of finding someone who will find him attractive? Will he have to wait until he is much older? Or is even that out of the question, him probably being subjected to a life alone?

So keep this in mind if you respond. Many people that believe they are extremely unattractive are probably exaggerating a certain extent. However, at least even by the law of probability, some of these people aren't. Some really are as hideous as they claim, and this being the Internet, we can't truly verify it. So at least respond like you are giving a very ugly person the benefit of the doubt and that they are telling the absolute truth. What would you say?

It said that we all desire someone physically attractive, but uglier people are realistic enough to lower their standards and find someone like themselves. Equally ugly that is.

Don't lower your standards, chicks will psychologically think that you're just trying to grab whatever you can take and therefor you are aren't a successful guy.

You need to project to them that you're a high value, successful man with high standards in what you look for. They say that attraction is 20% looks and 80% survival value.

What am I talking about with 'survival value'? Well I mean your ability to survive, things that display a high survival value
- Athleticism (sports, fitness etc, body build)
- Popularity
- Money (Nice clothes, expensive shit)
- Confidence
- Being well groomed

etc... It all comes back to caveman instincts, the truth is, we're an outdated machine, our bodies and feelings and all of that crap still work on Caveman instincts, and girls will always be attracted to the guys they feel can take care of them, you know! Guys who really are ugly undoubtedly have a harder time finding girls. This is not to say that it is impossible though. You know those cheesy, stereotypical "beauty and the beast" type situations? Well they are also an archetype, they appear in all sections of society.

You can't predict accurately which humans will be attracted to others because so many things determine it. First impressions, the settings they see each other in, the things their friends say etc. Looks, whilst being an important factor, can also be outweighed by the hundreds of others. Smell for instance, is incredibly important in finding your partner. It is almost unheard of for a couple to have a steady relationship without liking the scent of their mate.

There are definitely guys who are so ugly that nobody finds them attractive.

These people will end up alone with no mate and their ugly-ass genes will not get passed on, thereby ensuring that the future generations will be less ugly, overall.

Yeah...the OP is right. There are hopelessly ugly dudes out there who are destined to a life of loneliness in their younger years. But you know what they usually do with all that free time? Become amazing at something. Develop their intellectual pursuits.

Just look at pictures of the geniuses and inventors and shit of the past 100 or so years. The dudes are busted. But they have testosterone (or atleast enough) so by realistically analyzing their best chances for getting laid, they try hard to get their shit flowin in another direction, where they have a chance to get some attention from society, and thus some fuckin pink curtain. Testosterone spurs creativity. It's another tool one can use to fight to the top of the chain if they aren't blessed physically.

For sure this doesn't work out for 98% of them since not everyone can be born with the proper IQ. But it's a slight ray of hope.

Special K is dead on. Girls look at guys a lot differently than vice versa. I think I'm pretty fucking ugly, but i still can get hot girls most of the time. Just work with what you have. If you have acne, get some medication. If you're overweight, work out and build up. Just make yourself the best that you can. Go to a beauty salon and get your hair done in a style that compliments your face. Wear nice clothes, shower, smell nice, etc. That and a half-way charming personality will go very far with the ladies. Most of all, radiate confidence. That's the number one thing girls look for and respect. Just don't cross the line. Arrogance is not the way to go.

Attractive guys maybe able to get a girl easy, get a good fuck, but it would very rarely last. If you have a personality, it will go alot further than looks. Once the girl realises all a attractive guy is good for is like the miniature dogs you carry in a bag to look good, they'll get bored and look for someone with something else to offer. Moving on, Special K and crazyass are right. There are old men who have game and still pick up perfect 10's. They just have to work on their game. There are books, websites, etc. completely devoted to this. Besides, most men get ugly later on in life so if you get used to relying on less perishable qualities it is good training for the future when you can't wait for women to come to you as you're attractive. Basically, chicks dig confidence, so you gotta have the mindset, "Every woman wants to root me, and when they turn me down they are denying themselves the best thing in the world". Sounds deluded but it works.

Until then, take care of yourself. Get into shape, buy nice clothes, get a haircut that compliments you (this can help massive amounts)

Generally ugly guys are doomed to being the womans best friend/loveless, especially when they are teenagers and in their 20's. Later on once women are done fucking all the 'hot guys" and decide to settle down they start looking for different things like how good of a job you have, how respectable/classy you are, how you'll treat future children, etc.

Problem nowadays though is that women have a lot of independence in finances, don't care what their parents think, etc so these traits are slowly being discarded as something they want in a lifetime mate, hence why the divorce rate is so high (women are marrying those "hot guys" who are losers/idiots/full of shit). 2007 America is really the worst place to be if you have a penis.
