The teacher would be relocated, probably wouldn't even be charged, and would be back to teaching within the year. At least that's how lenient the system is in Canada. And no matter how much you tried to keep this from going public, rumors would leak out, and everyone WOULD get wind of it eventually.

I'd suggest transferring schools right now, and forgetting about it, or if you want him to suffer too, then bring up charges, then transfer schools, but with the way facebook allows for networking, people at your new school will probably know about it long before you will.

If that seems to be too intimidating for you, and I can understand that it migh be, I am sure that there are places of safe harbour where you can turn to (SAFE, SPARC, etc.) and they can act as your advocate to both protect you from further harm and to persue the prosecution of your assailant.
