IFIOTW thread, possible problem.
http://www.totse.com/community/showthread.php?t=2057795
I know a lot of the younger more mindless totse members enjoy spamming forums and such, and now they have targeted an incest focused website/forum.
Normally, I'd wait and let the forum mods take care this as they see fit, but how the regulars are approaching this is why I decided to bring it up here in M&A.
A quick run through will show they are spamming said forum WITH the &Totse name, some are using their ID's from here on it. and one is using an account name of "Meta" (which I remember is a touchy subject).
E.} I haven't taken any actions towards this, asides from making this post here since I am unsure as to go about it and what exactly to infract possibly.
Now, if I'm remembering correctly, this is a big nono to carry anything out on another website/forum while using anything related to the &T name and likeness. Something akin to the Totse Army incidents of the past which have caused trouble.
Hope I didn't step on anyone's toes or piss off the mods of IFIOTW. I'm just a regular person who doesn't live during the daytime :)

Re: IFIOTW thread, possible problem.
Someone brought that site to my attention last night. I didn't know there was a thread saying to spam it though. The person asked if it was me spamming it. There was indeed a Meta there and it was obvious they came from Totse.
I registered under Metaphysicist and made a small appearance to show I wasn't the Meta.
I think that all who can be shown to have taken part or to induce people to take part. But since it's not something where immediate action is needed - not like a spam attack where immediate action can stop the attack - I think it should be up to the Mods of IFIOTW, or an Admin, to hand out the infraction and delete the thread.

Re: IFIOTW thread, possible problem.
Organising forum raids in Totse's name is a bannable offence and I'll infract for it wherever I see it regardless of whether or not I mod the forum. No toe-stomping I can see.
In fact, I just did it now. EDIT: I hope I'm not toe-stomping, but I'm of the opinion that a visible infraction next to the OP's name in that kind of thread is the best deterrent (same as happened with needmoney). This kind of thing can get Totse in legal trouble and minimising it in any way is best.

Re: IFIOTW thread, possible problem.
Correct, it is a big no-no to spam other websites in the name of totse. I don't know what lengths Jeff wants to go through to ensure that it doesn't occur, but I'd take the following things into consideration:
-Spamming other sites in the name of totse can get totse into trouble. When I see things of this nature, I edit them out of posts or delete the thread entirely. A few months ago it was Bill Keller and before that it was Habbo, and before that it was Totse Army (though TA didn't do anything, they just organized themselves TO do things in totse's name). To ensure totse's wellbeing, I always ban repeat offenders. If it becomes a problem, make a post in the forum and explain why we can't have this going on.
-If the other other website's admins try to contact any of you, direct them to Jeff, me, or acidmelt. Also make it known that only Jeff has the authority to surrender IP addresses (if they were to request them). Any and all legal action is to be handled by Jeff.
-I know it's a stretch of the imagination, but if totse was shown to be a breeding ground for malicious website attacks around the internet (that is - they stopped spamming and started DDoSing and actually hacking), we could wind ourselves in a bit more trouble. I'd hate to see totse get Patriot Acted or shut down by some Internet authority.

Re: IFIOTW thread, possible problem.
Sorry guys, I should have picked that up earlier.
We all know how much shit raiding forums in the name of totse causes, I won't allow threads like this to be left open long in IFIOTW.

Re: IFIOTW thread, possible problem.
I've been looking into this some more. I found that the OP was also banned from 4chan for the same thing.
Also, the user: signals is trhe one who has the totse username there [He admits it here: http://www.totse.com/community/showpost.php?p=8991270&postcount=16]. I think maybe this guy should get more than just the 5 point infraction because each post he makes there carries the Totse name - and he had made a lot of posts there.

Re: IFIOTW thread, possible problem.
I have infracted him for damaging totse.com, a result of using the username "totse.com" whilst spamming another forum.
Seems fair to me.

Re: IFIOTW thread, possible problem.
Just keep in mind that we can't infract anyone on totse for something they did on another board. If person A makes a thread about spamming site XYZ and person B's username posts spam on site XYZ but makes no reference to it on totse, person B can NOT be held accountable on totse. Only if they admit to something on totse.
Why? Because it's entirely possible for someone to go to site XYZ and register the name Zok and start posting spam. Does that mean I should be banned from totse? Not unless I admit to it on totse.

Re: IFIOTW thread, possible problem.
Update: I used the password that was given in the thread to change it. So the totse username can now no longer be used.
