Dealing with the gf's self-doubt attacks
For the most part my relationship with the gf is smooth sailing, however recently she has been suffering from self-doubt attacks that I think are sometimes irrational, such as over her appearance even though she is perfect for me.
I wonder if anyone has ever dealt with a girl like this, who has had a very scarring relationship with an old bf that has screwed her up so much. But more to the point I wonder how I can eventually get her to the point where she doesnt get these attacks because she knows that no matter what i'll be there for her.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Dealing with the gf's self-doubt attacks
Put your arms around her, look her in the eyes and kiss her like you mean it. Repeat as necessary.
Every time a girl I've dated has felt insecure, it's worked wonders.

Yes.
Also, talking dirty every so often so she knows she's hot.

Re: Dealing with the gf's self-doubt attacks
All girls are like that and it pisses me off. Just accept that you arent perfect and live with it.
Or, to those "perfect" supermodel 10/10s, dont say shit at all. These types piss me off even more. They nitpick the smallest things "OMGZ a pimple!, i need to kill myself". Then she layers on 10 pounds of makeup.

Re: Dealing with the gf's self-doubt attacks
yeah we have been talking dirty over msn. i've got some great erotic fiction from those chats, and she does open up over the phone/msn but she gets really concious of herself when in person, ranging from the "I hate my body so you should too" to "I really want you now, but i dont like how my body looks".
But unlike what she says i cant really see why she does it to herself. I love her body, (although if she wanted to i wouldn't object to her losing a little bit of weight [she's 5'4" and 65kg]) but her self-confidence issues really get in the way of most activities out in public.

Re: Dealing with the gf's self-doubt attacks
lol, some great advice here.
She is quite strange though because when these strike, after talking to her about 'em they go down quite quickly. I now have some pics of her topless and I can attest to the fact that she has a nice body and i dont know why she kills herself with worry over her poor self-image.
I guess its just girls, love em or hate em, they have self-image issues when they've been mentally/physically/verbally abused by previous bfs. Those pricks who do things like that piss me off plenty. Grr.
Anyway keep the advice coming. :D I havent been able to hug her yet tho even tho i want to because of her mum, who is overprotective to the extreme. Despite this we have been getting closer to the point where we can take it to the next level. ;)
BTW before this thread is spammed with requests to post the pics, I won't, So don't bother asking.

Re: Dealing with the gf's self-doubt attacks
To those that say it's always "I want compliments", that is very little of it. Simply look at some of the threads asking about how hot you think this girl is or any chick mag where they comment on the littlest thing, and guys always seem to agree. You have created an unrealistic image and we need reasurance that you don't hate us for not meeting it. Past boyfriend can't have helped.

So then she isn't perfect to you. Also, she's almost overweight.
