Default Hannibal

Is actually a Romance movie.

Discuss.

I'll defend my position later, but I just would be painfully curious as to your naked opinions.

The movie isn't, the book is. They killed the love story in the movie.

Damien445 said it. The book is, but they decided that a mainstream audience might not respond favourably to Clarice and the the good doctor bumpin' uglies, thus the movie was changed.

Also, this doesn't belong here.

Isnt that like saying there was a deep and fascinating homo-erotic subplot in the latest version of 'The Titanic' ?

No, in the book, Clarice and Hannibal actually wind up together. They just cut it from the film, like Kyoki said, mostly because Hopkins is to old and it would've been weird. In the book, Dr. Lecter is supposed to be younger, and fairly handsome (The young version of him in Hannibal Rising was a good portrayal, albeit a bit on the silent side).
