Default The Friend Zone and being an "emotional tampon"

These are two terms that I just really don't understand.

I've been with former friends, I've listened to a girl's problems and then sexed her afterwards, and I just don't really see how these things come into play. Am I confused as far as the definition of these two terms go?

As I see it, a gal's either interested or she's not. It seems like being friendly or listening to her problems is only an issue if said girl was never really interested in you in the first place. And then at that point, you might as well.

What am I missing?

Emotional tampon- The guy a girl bitches to about her problems, does not have any sexual interest with him.

Friend zone- Friends with the girl, no sexual interest, and she doesn't bitch to him about her problems

and if you're having sex with you're friend with no romantic interest then you're fuckbuddys.

Right. No interest. So the boys bitching about being in the friend zone were fucked from the get go, no? The girl in question just wasn't interested and whether or not they become friends isn't going to get them laid any less.

friend zone -

A very frustrating and very shitty place to be. More commonly experienced by men than women. Mostly because of the fact that men are comfortable with being in a relationship/fucking a friend, where women will piss and moan about not wanting to ruin a friendship, somehow overlooking the fact that guys already have friends, and so do they. Stupid bitches.

emotional tampon -

Something only women are capable of, and evil enough to do. They fool poor insecure men into thinking they are receiving affection when they never will. They are often used as pillows for tears, or little "I lost my boyfriend and I'm grieving him" dolls. If this happens to you, just tell them to fk off.

The problem is, n00bs tend to think listening to a girl's problems or being friends with her means they're clearly about to get sexed up as soon as she dumps her boyfriend who's always so mean to her or whatever. They're retarded and wrong, so we have these phrases to describe exactly how they're being some girl's bitch. There's nothing inherently wrong with either thing so long as you're in control of the situation, but your average totsean and/or teenage boy generally isn't.

Yeah really. the emotional tampon sucks dick. I am in the rut with a few girls.. i wouldn't mind cumming on their faces but it will never happen. In fact, I really get no benefit from it but "being seen with them" but who gives a fuck about that.

i love money.

Hey, you can be deeply in the friend zone while not becoming the emotional tampon.

A story!

She was fat in middle school. I saw nothing of her, though later remembered her face.

At the chance to see Honduras, I applied to go along with my parents' church. A mission trip of sorts.

I saw her at the fundraiser, and after a year of learning to love myself, she intrigued me.

We went to Honduras, we became close as someone can become close to anyone else in 10 days. If you've been to college or some similar situation, you know how easy it is to attach to those you don't know 'cuz you don't know anyone.

Anyways, for that summer, we were tight. Yet, from the time I saw her at that carwash (fundraiser in a WASP community) and I remember her shirt (Um, Like, Whatever) I knew there was a connection.

Three rejections on my part, and then true catostrophe leading to hooking up with her...

After that, it was the longest and most rewarding relationship I've been in.

So go for it until you don't feel like going for it anymore.

Emphasize the previous sentence, 'cuz that has the most external validity.

I learnt both of these lessons the hard way. 4 months of the hard way.

Here is what you have to do. Forget all this ladder theory bullshit you hear on internet. Treat women like you would treat any other human. IE: treat them as they treat you and don't give them credit for more that what they have. Be yourself and don't take shit from people. Trust me, things work out a lot better when you don't have these preconceived notions fogging your mind.

That would work in most cases, except most of these definitions are actually true.
