Conciliation with Damaged Goods.
Hey, I have a fairly big problem with my gf.
We have been chatting on the phone/msn/in person and she is a very nice girl but I have encountered a very large road block in the relationship.
As far as I can understand she has had a very bad relationship in the past and as such is very sensitive to most comments made to her. For instance I made a joke about her being my very own stalker and she completely flipped out at me. My main question is how do I start to get her to open up in the relationship and get her to stop being so sensitive to comments.

Re: Conciliation with Damaged Goods.
you have t get her to trust you. my ex was like that, she always thought i was mad at her and never thought i was joking. never really did get that to change though just had to watch my actions and think about what i was going to say before i said it.

She could be lying and preying on your good nature to manipulate her. Y'know, girls are wiley like that.

Tell her that you sympathise with her for having bad experiences with people in the past...But they are them and you are you.

Re: Conciliation with Damaged Goods.
Cheers for all the advice, I'd like to think that she has truly been in a bad relationship and isn't using me for her own ends. I've started to talk to her and I think I am making progress about revealing why she has these issues.
She's an awesome girl and I think she's been treated badly before and deserves to be in a good relationship for once. But as far as I can tell it is going to take a while to straighten her issues out and get her to trust again.
