Default Little quirks/complaints about your Significant Other...

In this thread, we will discuss the little quirks, be them pet peeves or pleasures, that our Husbands, Wives, Girlfriends, Boyfriends, Fiancees or fuckbuddies have.

I've been married for a year and a half as of Sept 15th, and in that time there are a few things I've noticed about my wife. Now this isn't a "Complain about your partner" thread, because at least for me, she wouldn't be the same without these little things of hers. Again, although I AM doing some complaining about my wife in this thread, I love her to death and I wouldn't have her any other way (maybe about 2 inches taller... :D ) The quirks/complaints are as follows:

1] If you stand at the foot of our bed facing it, its pretty well established my side is on the left, Angelas is on the right. However, this ceases to apply if either if these two conditions are true:

A] I do not go to bed at the exact same time as her, or
B] I leave the bed for any reason (drink of water, take a piss, etc..)

Whereuponwhich said wife will immediently slide over until she is taking up not only her side, but also all but about 6 inches of my side as well.

2] Amendment to #1. Either by itself or in conjunction with #1, if she cannot completely overrun the bed (usually by me waking her up and telling her to get back on her own damn side), she will turn on her side in a fetal position and maneuver herself so her ass is sticking over into my half of the bed like a sore thumb. It usually takes a good deal of yelling and/or slapping on the buttocks to correct this problem.

3] This is another one she pulls as soon as I leave the bed, or if I stay up later than her for any reason. We have this nice big, thick comforter on our bed that is just big enough for two people, assuming they share the thing equally. If either of the two Code Red events occur, and she has discovered invasion of my side of the bed is impossible she'll grab the comforter and roooooollllll into the equivilent of an Angela-in-the-blanket, or sleeping bag, thereby depriving her husband of ALL the blanket while she stays wrapped up in it like a fucking mummy. I've learned if this happens, no amount of swearing, yelling, or ass slapping will correct it, just get up, go to the laundry room, and get a spare blanket.

4] In addition to bedtime, there are a few more little quirks about her. This one comes in the form of accidental injury. I've noticed whenever she inflicts a paper-cut on herself, or breaks a nail, or stubbs a toe, or pinches her wrist skin getting her watch on, as sure as Brittany Spears is a fake-tittied slut, the very first word uttered is going to be "MATT!!". True, sometimes I've bumped or ran into her causing very, very minor injuries. I don't mean those, I mean injuries I could not possibly have had anything to do with. Examples include (real examples):

A] Nicking herself while shaving (down there OR on her legs)
B] Tripping over her own shoes
C] Catching her foot-lenght skirt in her car door
D] Banging her elbow on the corner molding in the hallway
E] Biting her lip while having dinner at a restaurant
F] Tangling her hair in her MP3 player headphones
G] Accidently pricking herself while pinning on her work nametag
H] Discovering shes out of pads/tampons during "that" time (I shit you not!)

5] As you knew it would probably come up, sex is next. I love making love to my wife. Shes good at it, shes adventurous, one of those up-for-anything-once kind of girls ("Except threesomes, I don't want to share" - Her).

The reason sex is on this list of quirks is because she never seems to get horny during normal business hours. Meaning she decides she wants it at EXTREMELY inconvienent times, such as 3 am as I'm trying to sleep, or when I'm trying to get dressed for work in a hurry because I'm about to be late, OR she decides she wants it in the middle of a family function (such as Christmas, like last year..)

6] Her memory. Angela has atrocious short-term memory problems. Example that happened just Thursday: I have a female friend who works next door to my place of business at an all-nite diner. She invited me and Angela to come by the diner at about 8pm Thursday for a small birthday get-together her employer was throwing her. I tell Angela about it on Wednesday. On Thursday, we get in the car and stop at a grocery store to pick up a birthday card for the girl in question. Angela comes over to help me pick out the card, picks one out, we get it paid for and as God/ess as my witness the second we cleared the doors leaving she looks at me and asks, "So, why are we buying this?" *Slaps forehead, "For Ashley honey..." *moment of silence*, "Which one is Ashley?" *DOUBLE slaps forehead*

Lucky #7, and last on my list, concerns her and her pet rabbit, Walter. Now I'm allergic to pet dander, regardless of whether its cat, rat, dog, or rabbit. In January she INSISTED her rabbit sleep in our room, in a cut-down cardboard box with a towel for a blanket, owing to the fact that it was a bit cold that week. Naturally I objected and was assured it wouldn't be allowed to bother my allergies.

Big mistake on my part, but I consented. About 1 am that morning I begin having a difficult time breathing. I wake up to GUESS WHAT? That fucking rabbit has escaped, hopped on the bed with us and began biting at my eyebrows, its furry body flopped on top of my face. Long story short: Rabbit was kept in laundry room for the rest of the "visit"

This brings my quirks/complaints to a close. Even if I had my own genie who would let me change anything about her, I couldn't and wouldn; I've grown to love her as she is, not as I'd be able to make her.

Well... I MIGHT give in to increasing her height from 5'3" to 5'6" :D

So now your turn Totse. What little items about your partners are worth mentioning?

Regards,

V. Archimiel

Why would you increase her height by such an insignificant amount?
:S

I like that my boyfriend is smart and can be bitchy in my defense. He's like a pretty rottweiler. He's good at games and a nice cook when he actually tries. He likes the guinea pigs. He likes them to the extent he's cool with being in an appartment with 10 of them, which is pretty impresive considering the noise the creatures make when they hear someone rustle a bag of salad.
He's kind of socially inept and I feel he wouldnt know what to do if a girl hit on him, so I can trust him I think.
He doesent tell me what to do in regards to my pets and has a little respect for my oppinion on an unwell animal.

Bad points, he doesent like cars like I do.He cant understand my love of shiny things and crystals. He hates my dance music and doesent understand my ultimate quest to have a stereo system so loud the vibrations can send the appartment into space. He likes the guinea pigs but he doesent love them. When one of them dies it doesent feel like a huge chunk of his heart has just been ripped out, he doesent feel a horrible overwhelming loss and depression crush him. That's probably a good thing, but I kind of wish he cared for them a litte.
And he plays too damn much on GuildWars.I feel that if I taped a fleshlight to the side of the computer and put a stash of haribo and raisins next to him he'd never need me again.
He's done some things that mean I'll never truly trust him. I used to have plans and ideas about a future together but not anymore. I used to think about marrying him but I cant see that happening either.
Sometimes I get so tired by his lack of commitment I feel I'm just wasting my life, frittering it away by his side whilst he plays guildwars. I sometimes get scared that I'll be like this in ten years time. Still with him, still loving him whilst he sits infront of his computer, still not being really loved how I need to be.

Hm.. well we haven't been together for very long but there are some quirks here and there.

He loves when I tickle him, he knows what I mean when I give him funny looks, he always likes the side of the bed by the wall but will gladly let me have it. He distracts me from drinking, and I need that. He's there to talk to when shit hits the fan, he's dramatic but knows that I need no more drama in my life so takes care not to start it. He lets me hit the bong before him and all of his friends. He knows that I have a dark sense of humor and he loves it. He isn't embarassed by me when I dress like a bum or a hippie child. Infact he grabs my waist infront of his friends and says "This is my baby." And he's so fucking cute when he hasn't showered for 2 days.

I like the fact shes a short chick, but sometimes wish she'd be just a tiny bit taller.

Yoyo I....For the first time since joining Totse almost 5 years ago, I'm at a loss for words. I don't know what happened between your boyfriend and you, and to be honest I'm not sure I want to. I will make a confession though... since you brought this up.

There have been times Angela has complained I spend too much time on the computer, particularily too much on the Internet. Shes complained before that I don't pay enough attention to her and too much to whats going on in cyberspace.

Although I haven't had that complaint in a long time, reading your post really is heartbreaking and saddening. I know you didn't reply to this thread looking for pity, so don't worry that I think that.

I'm sorry Yoyo...I really am. You have my #, if you want to talk, just call..

Heh sorry Vampy, I was super grumpy earlier.

I think more it's not that she resents you spending time online, but that maybe it's because you're socialising online, like perhaps those anonymous faces are more fun?

That's how it feels for me sometimes. But when that happens I just leave and do my own thing. But it gets to me at times. He talks to alot of people on GuildWars, and I've tried playing that game, to see if perhaps he'd socialise with me online if I played. But no, it seems not.
He seems 2 prefer chaten to ppl who tipe funney lol an say im bored lotz cuz they prolly more fun thn mee lol!

..
But then something I've seen on Guildwars is that many people have gloriously beautifull female charecters and give them names like 'Lil miss teen assasin' or 'Lady of Flames' ect, and they flirt because the few males give them things for doing so.

But you probably dont stoop that low.
I mean, your wife knows of Totse, so it's cool that you share that. Maybe if you're worried about it all you could give her a hug, tell her everyone you talk to are middle aged men or unatractive hobit-type girls and you do it for a bit of social interaction is all.
perhaps you could get her involved in any MMORPGS you play?
Silkroad Online is a good one. It's not vital to socialise on there and you can play the game alone, but it's very pleasurable to play with another person also. Also if you play with someone else it means you can have fun killing each other on merchant/thief trade runs. :D

My girlfriend is a picky eater.
She thinks I don't appreciate her intelligence enough (this bothers me).
She talks a lot.

About me, she'd probably say:

He thinks he's always right.
He doesn't give me enough credit.
He guilt-trips me.

We've been living together for over two years, we met on totse (the irc channel actually). blah blah blah. It's the real deal.

Well the main thing is she's imaginary. While this is an advantage in some ways, we have to deal with things that aren't a problem for other couples, ie rogue unicorns.

My girlfriend (of about 4 months) has sporadic, full body, sometimes violent, shivers. Considering I'm usually relatively highly strung, this means I jump out of my fucking skin when she moves so suddenly. She says "I felt a chill" or something, and usually this will happen anywhere between 4-10 times a day. Depending on what we're doing at the time it won't bother me, but if she's sitting on me and does it makes me jump.

I hope by last girlfriend you mean dead girlfriend.

This will sound mysoginistic, but if your girl is a typical girlie girl with no love of cars and a tendency to be a complete fucking moron, do not let her drive your car!

I was in my mums car a few weeks back and she was driving for some reason (I cant remember why I let her drive me anywhere) and she was just driving along, humming along to some fucking awfull song on the radio (kaiser chefs or some shit like that) and the car ahead of her had stopped. And she kept on driving. And I was like "mum. Stop the car."
"...mum. STOP DRIVING". but no, for some fucking reaon she just drove into the back of this nice looking mercedes people carrier.

Of course she said "i dont know, you just came out of nowhere!" to the other driver.

Never, ever let a generic woman drive you.

Warning: LONG

She gets a tiny bit careless when driving, drifts off the road a bit randomly, and ALWAYS brakes really late, I shouldn't stiffen up at every stoplight, but I do. Working on that, scary.

Always makes plans around me and expects me to go with them and be ready on her schedule, all the time, and gets upset if I'm not.

Calls kids 'little people', which is just annoying for no reason but hey. Midgets are little people, kids are KIDS.

She's in school to be a DSW (works with special needs people), tells me about what she learns, so I know the strategies/etc. and it's annoying when she tries to use them on me. :\

'Suggests' what I should do or be doing in a 'do you want to....' way (see above point) as if I'm 5 years old, and don't know a thing. Sometimes.

Randomly (prob due to work/etc.) gets 100% unaffectionate and unsexual (at all, not even a hug) for a day to about a week at a time and doesn't notice, and denies it, and gets upset when I mention it.

She constantly doubts/questions/criticizes anything I cook (I know how to a bit, grew up on all homecooking so I know how it's done, acts like anything I do differently from how she would is wrong and I'm messing it up.

When she's cooking, she chops everything into HUGE pieces. Fajitas include whole rings of large onions, I chop them in the pan after :\ Salads also include large pieces of everything. Bugs me, so I have to redo or do it myself in the first place. But that brings about the previous point.

Sometimes likes to badmouth me in public, over small stuff like cooking/cleaning/etc., mostly in front of family, in a semi-joking way, but complainy, but it's done so often I start to doubt that. Sucks since I never breathe a bad word about her without making it perfectly clear it's a joke. Besides this post.

Likes to have the fan on in the bedroom, on full blast, all night. a) I pay for my own hydro, and am a broke-ass student. b) i've gotten a cold before from that stupid fan, so I demand it stays off now, all complaints notwithstanding.

There's a few more, of course, one or two more serious than I'm willing to post, and about 10x as many things as all that ^ that i love about her, so she gets to stay. :P

my last girlfriend was an alcoholic and only gave blowjobs when she was drunk...which was frequent, but i'd like a night of sober, romantic blowjobs.

she would frequently drive under the influence of drugs.

she often lied about doing drugs. stupid bitch. some drugs you can hide, others you can't. she was frequently high on drugs that she couldn't hide, and tried to lie about it.

she thought that inside jokes between her and her friends were cute, and she'd put them in her AIM profile and facebook and such. maybe it was cute to her other two friends who knew what the fuck she was talking about, but to everyone else, it was gay.

she'd always be in a bad mood over nothing and take it out on me, and if i told her to shut the hell up she'd cry.

treated her parents like shit. i hate it when anyone disrespects their parents, unless they have good reason. she definitely did not. usually over money issues. she was spoiled and refused to get a job, and hated her parents for not giving her a newer car.

she pretended to be an avid sports fan and would wear football jersies and shit, when she knew nothing at all about the sport.

yell at me for smoking, but it was perfectly fine if she did.

lastly, cheating whore.

oh well. you live you learn.

He's done some things that mean I'll never truly trust him. I used to have plans and ideas about a future together but not anymore. I used to think about marrying him but I cant see that happening either.

Wowwww, it's like looking at myself, lol.

I just HATE the fact the computer seems more of a priority and whenever it's brought up he'll make excuses as to why he's not bothered.

Example: got in from work at 8:15 on Friday, sat on it until about 3 in the afternoon, barely speaking to me, before I said anything about it. The reason he gave for not bothering with me was I was "getting annoyed about it", so, I don't say anything and wait for him to come over, meanwhile he KNOWS I'm getting upset... And he doesn't think to come over and make it better? BOLLOCKS!

He sat on it 98% of the weekend and wonders why I start shouting and screaming at him about it when I try and bring it up and he cuts me off mid-sentence and just doesn't seem to give a fuck. It's frustrating, I don't want to live with someone who's like this yet every time I tell him he doesn't seem to make the blindest effort to sort it.
I don't even have a key for the flat let alone feel like he wants me there and is willing to make the effort.

We do NOTHING together, all I want is to go out on weekend because I'm sat in here bored everyday because he's on nights. Even if he worked days it'd be the same. But he tells me the reason we don't do anything is because of me.

Everything's my fault, all down to me. "If you were nicer I'd get off the computer and spend time with you", umm, so, what, like the weekend he was on it literally from 8:15 Friday morning one time, till 10 - 11 on the Saturday and I said nothing. I also said nothing about it until the Monday even though it was driving me crazy. Then he decides he wants to go to the shop (a few hours before he had to go to work) and I got annoyed at him because he made me feel like shit and I let it all out. "Well, when I do want to spend time with you you just start on me" WHAT THE FUCK?! Does that make sense?

I'm ranting...

^^^Maybe you're being impossible?

All males here know what I mean, I hope. When your girlfriend is upset about something or angry about something but she won't tell you what. Or when she's being a bitch about everything and taking it out on you. Maybe she's unresponsive to your affectionate/sexual advances.

Basically trying to interact with her becomes pointless, and infuriating.

In those situations I've often amused myself by doing something else. I'm sorry but I'm not going to sit their for hours on end trying to fix a girlfriends problem when she's not being, nice, communicative, or helpful in anyway.

And if she's being a bitch she doesn't deserve to speak to me.

And if she's denying me sex/affection well what the hell is there's no point in her being my grilfriend at all, let alone trying to talk to her.

So I simply do something else, rather than get myself worked up trying to interact when she's not willing to make any effort to communicate properly.

Could it be that?

???

Are you trying to say all your power is produced hydrologically, so instead of saying "I pay for my own power" you say that?

*shrug* Here i've always heard it called hydro (the company is London Hydro), so hey. I suspect that the name came from when they supplies both water (hydro) and electricity services, but that changed and the names didn't.

And sleeping under a fan with only boxers on, window open (which it always is anyways, no effects from that) isn't too good for you. :\

Basically trying to interact with her becomes pointless, and infuriating.

No, it's always been like this.

I could be lovely to him and he'd still choose to not go out and just sit on the computer on his days off.

If I'm upset about something, I tell him why.

And like I said, I've been asleep, he'll come in, jump on me and wake me up then go on the computer and ignore me when I try to talk to him.

Him saying I've sat there being pissy is an excuse because I haven't. I've just been sat there watching tv or drawing something waiting for him to come over so it's not like I've been an ass and he's tried to sort it and got fed up.

I used to say to him "look, are you going to come off so we can do something?" and he'd either go "HOLD ONNN!!", "Yea, in a minute, Jesus!" or just act like a whiny child and all "you were talking to me with an attitude!!!" even though all I did was ask like any normal person.

We wouldn't argue about him being on the computer so much if he kept a promise and spent a day with me. Before he admitted it's highly unreasonable how much he's on it and will spend the whole Saturday with me every weekend. I got back up there and he did nothing. He just sat on it.
On my birthday he just sat on it. He was all "can I just go check something? He checked it, then went on Msn. Went to the shop, got a cake, was nice. Went back on it, signed into Myspace when I'd said to him "Can you just get off, if you sit on that any longer then that's it, you fucked up" and he blatantly sat there talking to people while I was saying this all like "yea, fuck you".

This is all after telling me he wouldn't go on on my birthday and me telling him if he did then it's over because I'm sick to the back fucking teeth of it. So it doesn't make me feel that he gives a fuck.

But still, like I said, if I'm annoyed at something he's done I'll tell him. But he doesn't like it. Why ask what's wrong if you don't want to hear the answer?

Trust me, the situation you described isn't what happens.

Are you afraid of literally freezing to death, or airborn viruses being drawn into the room by a fan?

If you're trying to tell me that people can get sick because they get cold then I weep for the British education system, and I'm a fucking american.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

I actually reckon Vampire Archimiel should be a little bit ashamed, to post all that really personal stuff on a board where he knows his wife can read it. Her height is not her fault - what a twattish thing to say.

Yeah everyone has their annoying traits but try talking it out with them before you list it in detail somewhere you know they might find it.

Still with him, still loving him whilst he sits infront of his computer, still not being really loved how I need to be.

....Is this that same guy you used to write about? I mean the one who was younger than you and had no job?

And yes you are wasting your life being with him.

romantic blowjobs.

Never did I think I'd see those two words next to each other...

My girlfriend can be forgetful at times, such as telling the same story over and over. A few times, it's not so bad. But after so long, it gets very irritating.

She can also be extremely shy, and it makes trying to be intimate in anyway next to impossible. I can try hugging her, kissing her, and still nothing. And this isn't once in a while. 95% of the time is like this. But since our relationship isn't based solely on sex, it doesn't faze me too much. Just can get annoying.

Still, I love her like hell, and wouldn't change her.

Oh ok, I read all that and he sounds fucking weird. Do you live with him then?

I'd say he's a little too obsessed with the computer (which says alot coming from a totsean like myself) and really doesn't seem to like you. I mean really time with girlfriend (in a good mood)>myspace.

I'll say. She should totally go out with me. Ok I may spend time playing sim city but I would totally name an area of the city after her and make it look nice (but not the whole city, that's just creepy).

Yea, he once text me saying "I'm just a bit addicted to the computer, I'm sorry, I'll try", as if being "addicted" to it is an excuse.

And yea, we lived together a few months, I don't want to anymore because of this. I tell him I'm bored and hate being here and he just tells me to get a job, but I don't want to live with someone who won't even spend the weekend with me.

Oh well, we'll just have to see how this weekend pans out, I might tell him, if this is like the others I don't want to come back. (I'm off home on the 3rd and was going to come back for the 21st because we've been together a year soon, lol, and I've never done that before so it'd be kool lol).

And yea, he says he loves me and if he didn't give a fuck I can't see him wanting me to live with him, but it's hard as hell when I used to hear "yea, I went there with an ex" or whatever and he doesn't go anywhere with me. I just don't know how to tell him anymore. He's like a child, he'll avoid and it, he doesn't listen, and when he does he'll cut me off or act like an asshole and I'll start shouting at him.

For the record, I HAVE talked these out with her, and shes perfectly aware of the existance of this thread, she saw it as I was typing it.

I don't mind her height.. I think its cute actually. It doesn't mean I can't rag on her about it just abit ;)

I'm only 5'1...And why does her height matter anyway? The only thing I can think of is standing sexual positions and all she has to do to make that work is STAND ON SOMETHING.

Anyways..

She's continuing this trend of 'do you want to...''s in making me do things her way, like dishes twice (one before, once after a meal) or cooking something only how she's used to. I feel a bit stifled, it's my place and I'm happy with doing things the way I like, bah. :\

Actually it was a highly UNoriginal comment, perhaps one of if not THE most common insult to a male.

For the record, my penis is just over 6" erect.. Not quite porn star worthy, but then again, I've never heard complaints from her or any other previous partner. Until Carbon or anyone else for that matter is on the business end of my pecker, its not really your concern how big it is.

And Xiao, I'll say this again: I'm only kidding her when I go on about her height. I think its cute shes short, but for posture purposes I do wish she was a couple of inches taller. Stooping down to hug someone hurts your back before too long, especially if your SO is hug addicted.

I am single now..... but this is all stuff I hated about my ex.
She always thought that I thought she was fat for some reason. Which of course was in no way true, but she was/is retarded. You know how guys do the poking thing, to initiate the touching bit? Well she thought I was "poking her fat" and she went on this huge weight loss binge, despite the number of times she was fine as she is.
She had HUGE insecurity issues. I was living 3 hours away from her at the time, and she had more male friends than females, and she would often talk about her friends, and me, being the jealous type, would ask on occasion, "are you SURE you don't have feelings for them?" and her response would always be, "yes I'm sure, stop being so insecure."
This proved to not be the case, as she dumped me for one of those other guys she promised be she had no feelings for whatsoever.
Then, whenever I was away, she would always say she was worried that I would cheat on her and shit..... way to be a hypocrite.
She would always put down my music, despite the fact that I would ALWAYS put up with her timberlake and beyonce and shit, but NO that isn't enough, she has to tell me my music sucks too.
She told me she would only break up with me for cheating, lying, or drugs.
I thought she would live up to her own standards, but no. When I asked her about it, she said she changed her mind.
Yeah, she was a whore, still is.
She wants her current bf (the one she broke up with me for) to "kick the shit out of me".

When she's done wrapping you around your little finger she'll lose interest in you (of course her puny female brain won't be able to comprehend why, so you'll most likely get some garbled bullshit).

When they try and whip you up it's a test. If you resist it, it makes you sexierMad
