When a chick asks a guy out or tries to pick him up does it make him feel 'less manly'? Would you feel weird if a chick asked you out? And if a chick is trying to pick you up does she come off as a slut?

Basically, I've always been kind of straightforward when it comes to picking guys up and I'm kind of maybe thinking about asking a guy I like. I know it's kind of hard for him to make moves, so he probably won't be the one doing the asking.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a girl asking a guy out.

thats how most of the girls that come on to me do it. i haven't had to go for one girl in ages. In my last 3 relationships the girls all came to me.

Id keep an eye out, depending on the situation as a whole, she could be looking to scrounge/use. But unless the girl comes up to you when you flash your wallet with $500 hanging out of it and you pay with a $100 for $25 worth of shit, id consider it to be not in that "case". And if she was out for your money you can just boot her before ownage occurs. Also could point to a sign of desperateness by her if shes doing the approaching.

My ex girlfriend actually pretty much asked me out. She approached me, let me know how she felt about me, and so obviously I didn't turn that opportunity down.

Actually, to be honest, I was convinced at first that there were some ulterior motives behind it all. I even brought that up with her. I told her I thought she was fucking with me (for whatever reason). But she assured me she was serious, and I could sense her sincerity. So I just went all in and went where it took me.

We were together for over 7 months. (My longest relationship).

So in short, it can work, and in some cases is preferred. But if he's at all paranoid, like I am, he might sense ulterior motives.
