Alright so I was just thinking about this, A girl asked me out but it's a semi different case and I'm going to be nice and pay but out of curiosity if a girl asks should the guy pay?

Yeah, just don't go too crazy with it I.E. buying her gifts... etc.

The way I see it, whoever brings up the idea should be the one to pay, for BOTH (or at the very least offer to). This reminds me of one of the first dates I had with my ex. SHE asked me if I wanted to go with HER and this other couple she knew to a movie. So, naturally, I figured that it was up to her to pay.

But, I still thought there might be a chance she'd expect me pay to for her. So when we were in line to buy our tickets, I waited until RIGHT before we got to the front of the line, and then I oh-so-conveniently remembered that I had to call my friend back.

So I called my friend, and waited for her to walk up and pay for herself (heaven forbid she actually buy MY ticket, since she WAS the one who asked ME out that night).

But I felt kinda bad anyway, because I didn't even know her all that well, so maybe out of pure chivalry I should have offered to pay for her. But fuck it, I have my principles!

We stayed together for about 7 months after that, until she broke up with me for being too poor... Go figure...

Depends on the girl really, and depends on my mood. I paid for movies, and lunch/dinner but its cheap stuff($6-15 max). One specific girl i can remember I paid for twice in a row and the 3rd time she snatched up the bill and paid....she fought with me to pay the other times before too, not just a simple ill pay for us and shes quiet, but going back and forth saying ull take the money for it and like it.... other times with girls we each paid for our own, so its neither one of us paying. It really all depends, no extras though, ETC we go to a movie, no candy, drinks, popcorn...and thats even with me asking them and them saying no, not being a cheap ass keep in mind.

Times when i thought the most(judging from girls attitude) id have to pay they either pay for all or pickup their half, really surprising. But the last few times i went out, I asked them out for it, so i paid for it. But like i said, its cheap stuff, a whole $8 for lunch? shittt dont mind that...but if we talking 20-30 plus for dinner...Cheap ass mode kicks in.

anyways, i never expect a guy to pay for me, and he shouldn't expect me to pay for him. unless it's my boyfriend dragging me to see a movie that he knows i don't want to see. then he has to pay.

Surely paying half would be better than both of you worried about who'll pay.

I've not got much money at all really so my boyfriend pays a lot, but if I had some, n if he got off his ass and went out with me, I'd take him out, thus I'd be paying. But if we both decided to go somewhere it'd be more fair to just pay half.

I don't mind paying if a girl asks me out or I pick up a chick in the pub...But unless I'm getting some good shit that night, then she can buy her own damn shit.

I am kind of old fashioned, I do like when the guy pays for me, but I always offer to pay full or half anyway. And sometimes I'll just pay anyways.

It's a nice gesture, but I really don't think its necessary all the time.

It depends how my funds are doing. I don't really mind buying everything. It wouldn't really matter if it was a girl I was going out with or not. I buy shit for my family and friends all the time. When I have $1000 or 2 in my wallet I DON'T GIVE A FUUUUUUUUUCK i'll buy people shit left and right till it's gone. But if i'm actually interested in a girl and thinking about long term shit I tend not to buy them shit or give them anything because eventually they'll get used to it and take advantage. If I just want to fuck her i'll buy her some shit, get her drunk and do what I intended to.

Like honestly I own more of my mom's shit then she does because I take care of people that take care of me.

SHORT ANSWER: If I want a relationship I won't buy them a ton of shit but if I just want to fuck em' i'll buy them some shit do it and forget about em'
