How do you choose one girl over the other?
How do you choose between two girls, when one is in town, and the other is currently away, but will be back in about a month. Both have expressed feelings for you, but one is a tad aggressive, and the other is very reserved, quiet, but very sweet.
You like them both, you you can't determine which you like best. It's unfair to ask one to wait until the other gets back....and it's unfair to choose when all things aren't equal. Dropping from the race entirely is an option, and the minimal pain to follow should be easily dealt with by all parties.
But jeeze, the one here wants and answer now....or rather....soon. Because she says that she has already made her decision, and is waiting on an answer. I understand her not wanting to wait...but the pressure certainly isn't helping.
It would be really nice to get to know both girls better, but once again, you're asking one to wait until the 'other girl' comes back to begin the 'competition'.
I would like to make a sound decision and hopefully not have to really hurt anyone, but if I must, I'd want to minimize the hurt amap.
Thanks, and hopefully this isn't too absurd a question.

Why is there pressure, why is there any decision to be made? Sounds like your going to let give this one girl the upperhand. I'd say if u had what it takes keep in touch with both girls for sure, cause the one pressuring probably wont last long with you cause ull eventually piss her off...

life's easier with the laid back women, choose the one who isn't aggressive.

Re: How do you choose one girl over the other?
The one putting the pressure on probably isn't the girl for you by the sounds of it. After all, you're wanting to consider your options and make sure you've got the right plan and she wants an answer now.
I'd go with the laid back girl if I were you. Pushy people ain't no fun.

Re: How do you choose one girl over the other?
Thanks for the interest
I should clarify that I didn't mean that the girl that's here is pushy or demanding. She just knows what she wants and tactfully pursues it. It's like the classic scenario of the guy who doesn't know what he wants, and the girl who's waiting for him to make up his mind....whilst throwing subtle hints. We were talking the other day, and part of our conversation ended with...
Me: Ah, well suppose we sleep on the idea[ of dating ] and decide in the morning?
Her: I've already been sleeping on it for the past few weeks, and sleeping on it again really won't change my mind. She's a pretty devout christian, but not all crazy and whatnot. So...she more or less sees me as kind of being the 'one'...but she understands that she could be wrong.
When you ask someone out, are you considered as being with that person as an item, or is it known that you're simply 'trying' one another out? I guess I want to 'try' her and the other girl out, but I don't want to say " ok, we're together now, but if whatsherface comes along, and I like her, I'm gone". To me, it would be much easier to "decline" a romantic relationship when you're 'test driving' someone, as opposed to having already agreed to being together/an item.
I really like the girl that's here because we're very close, and you'd think that we've been hanging out for eons. She's like a best friend, and I like that. If we give this upgrade a try, and don't like it, then I wonder if our friendship would still be the same? Perhaps I'm trying to come out of this with a "win-win". I want one to be with, and the other to be great friends with...without altering and previous friendship dynamics.
I'm prob just thinking about this WAY too much...
Thanks again.

Heres how I see it:
K well the one that your so close to and who's demanding an answer is probably not your best bet. Honestly dude if you don't want to ruin the friendship you already have with this girl then you'll just have to drop the whole thing. If you told her no, and dated the other girl then don't you think that would piss her right the fuck off? And if you dated her, but it didn't turn out well, the friendship would never be the same.
Just drop both of them.

Re: How do you choose one girl over the other?
Okay, she's pressuring you to make a decision. Obviously, I wouldn't choose her. If you like both girls, who gives the girl the right to take away another that you love? (Love meaning any positive feelings in this case.)
Choose the other

^^^ agreed now, i was weary about a girl like that, now im regretting every last moment realizing i let her slide thru my hands....I always look over all the times we had together and ask myself "What more could you have wanted?" it was perfect but i guess we all make dumb decisions and let shit go like that.

Personally I would stand them side by side, grab a handfull of each of their asses and which ever one's squished through my fingers the most would be the winner.

Re: How do you choose one girl over the other?
real men arent pressured into relationships, then immediately the woman is in control and you really dont want that.
(I'm serious)
When a woman is in control of the relationship, she can do whatever the fuck she wants and you have no say.
Men control who they want to date, and they always have an unspoken impression that they could leave at anytime, that they dont NEED a woman in a relationship.
My point is, if she is trying to influence you now, she just wants control. Don't fall for it.
Remember to always be a man in your decisions.

I don't know about that. I kinda like to let a girl take control at times. When a girl is on top, well... it makes for a more interesting ride :D.

Why are you letting her pressure you into making a decision? Don't make one until you really know what you want, without some aggressive bitch forcing you into it. :p

Re: How do you choose one girl over the other?
Well...I'm more or less going with the more assertive girl that's in town. It sucks because the other girl is keeping in touch via mail, and talks about how much she misses me and longs to see me again....which makes me really feel like an ass for not having at least given her a chance. I think my problem is that I simply don't know what I want, and as a result, I end up making things much worse than they have to be. Either that, or the problem is that I simply care about other people's emotions/feelings too much. Like I go out of my way to make it so that I don't hurt anyone.
It's weird because the girl in town told me that she simply wants to be with me and wants to take this as far as it will go....and I kinda felt bad about not going with her....and I still feel bad about not going with the other girl. I always seem to place myself in someone else's position and think " how would I feel about this?"....and this is what's probably screwing me. The thought of her believing that I'm her perfect match, and me saying "nah, I'll wait until I check out this other girl...and I'll get back to ya", didn't sit well with me.
It's not that I'm loving out of pity, I think.
But, damn, the other girl will be pretty hurt...
