Sure, it's mainly her decision, but she's... how shall I put it... innocent... when it comes down to all sexual related topics. Condoms are fine, they prevent STDs and all that, but since we've been together for a while, I really don't fear an STD from her.

What do you say girls? Do you usually lay down the idea? Start without him knowing? Has anyone ever asked you to start using it?


PS. I'll most likely just end up talking to her about it, though. I just wanted input from you guys.

PPS. We don't have sex much, maybe once a week, tops(schedules, work, studies, etc), so maybe that'll be a deciding factor...

what a coincidence. i just talked to my boyfriend about it yesterday. apparently they came out with a new pill that doesn't have all of the bad hormones that the old ones do, and i want to try it out. so i asked him about it yesterday, and he said 'no.'

he thinks i'm going to try to get pregnant so i can trap him, which is stupid because he knows i don't want kids, ever. so i guess we're gonna be sticking to condoms for a while.

When my ex tried to get me to start taking them, I completly freaked out. But thats just me, it drives me insane if anyone tries to make a desicion for me.
Although you should talk to her about it, just be like - What do you think of...
If she does understand much about them, tell her to research about it a little. Theres not much more to it really.

I've been on the pill since I was 15. It's a lot easier than fussing over a condom all the time, and it works well as long as you remember to take it.

And surely it would be better on the pills as well as/instead of a condom. Sure, condoms are fine and all, but plenty of kids have happened because of a rip or whatever.
