So as I've stated before, I just started post secondary. The school I am at is not very big at all, therefore everyone is in fairly close proximity to one another.
There's this girl who I see every so often in the hall. She's short, extremely cute, and I want to talk to her somehow.
I think she is a first year as well, but she isn't in my program, I rarely see her at school, due to different schedules, and as of yet I am unable to introduce myself to a random girl with confidence.
I can introduce myself to girls at the bar and shit, where if I can get some, great, but when it's a girl who I actually want to get to know, that's where I have trouble.
I want to be able to somehow talk to her without seeming like a complete creep, how do I do this?
I am looking for a potential relationship, not sex.

You should go with something relevant to the situation. Just ask to get her opinion on something, your backpack, your shirt, whatever, relate it to your family, you think it's corny because a sibling gave it to you whatever. Something relevant that you can actually talk about without stumbling over, then introduce yourself, or actually better yet you'll know it went well because when you are leaving if she asks for your name without you giving it to her.

If it was me id check for a possible situation, but ur timing would have to be insane so she wont notice that ur trying to stake out for her. Watch for her at a vending machine, or to sit down somewhere, or w/e the fuck you have at ur school where people will people will be stationary for a bit(since u make it sound like theres no stop time). Then just scan for possibilities like Carb said, find something you can strike up a conversation on. If you manage to do so immediately try to make a joke on something to make her laugh that way she'll be comfortable around you.

Very quick examples to DW on, she pulls out cellphone, ask about it, listening to music, ask her what shes listening to(perfect if ur up close),shirt she has on that has sports team or a brand, comment about it.

Most of those lines exile provided are taking the "being a funny jerk" thing a little too far, honestly. I wouldnt start out by doing shit like that but to each their own.

Just show an interest, smile, whatever. its not hard but you just gotta put a bit of effort into keeping her talking.

Honestly though, the funny jerk stuff doesn't work like that. You have to start being an asshole AFTER you have been talking for a while. Oh, and it isn't even about being funny, just being a jerk. It might be hard to pull off however if you aren't an asshole already. I am a jerk 24/7 and it just comes out sometimes, which a lot of girls have picked up on before. Honestly, I don't really know if it will work outside of a teenage/highschool environment but you could give it a try.

Unfortunately it does me no good because I still haven't talked to the girl I have liked since the fifth grade.
