I don't know what it is, but from what I have observed, once your high school sweetheart reaches university and smells sweet air of freedom, wave goodbye. Surprisingly, this has happened to both my roommate and me. Last year it happened to me, and it is happening to my roommate right now. Well, my girlfriend at the time fell in with some borderline retarded art majors who only wanted to party and legitimize the reasons that they are whores. I am not too sure on the specifics, but the similar is happening with my roommate.

I would say it is due to both of yall becoming uninteresting in comparison to the types of guys who go to college, and who major in Art.

I mean shit, how long had they been with you? They were probably fucking bored out of their minds. Don't take it as an insult, just become more interesting.

Thats why I date a girl who's finished all her education. Oh wait I'm not a kid.

This sounds very much like part of the plot from, "Can't Hardly Wait (1998)" in which a group of guys about to graduate from high school decide to dump their girlfriends before heading off to college.

One of the guys finds out this was the wrong move, as a guy he worshiped, that had done the same thing, confides in him, that it backfired on him.

He tells the high schooler, that he sadly found out that college girls were interested in older more mature guys and not little horny boys, just arriving at college.

ohh man. ohh fucking man. i never really payed attention to that trend prior to this thread but now that i think of it. 2 of my friends got it this year and a really good friend of mine got it last year. fuck i really need to bail on mine come august. good post. im really sad that everything ive experienced comfirms it.

The funny thing is my ex, dumped me to be in an "open" relationship with some vulture from back at home. It seemed like he hung over our relationship and drooled the whole time. Sure enough, he wanted her so bad he could take it as a concession that she's fucking anybody anytime of the week. But as I look at it, I couldn't be any better in my situation. I dated her for 2 years and all that compromising sucked. Now I have settled into a "chill" kinda college lifestyle, alot less stress without her around.
