Default Mystery Meat Photo Series

What's really in that bargain basement lunch meat that you had for dinner? This should turn your stomach.

Nasty. Here's a news article on some of the fun things that are put in your food. (http://shopping.guardian.co.uk/beauty/story/0,,1852353,00.html)

i don't think they are too bad. im not saying the food isn't complete rubbish, but you can zoom in on any food and make it look shit.

i can grind up prime steak and make burgers, and they will look pretty much the same, except im bound to get more random bits of discolouration in them.

you don't need a camera, it's not like he has a microscope attatched. just look at it closely and youll see pretty much the same thing.

Your fresh vegetables, roast potatoes, cooked chicken, etc... all look like the "shit" in those pictures, when you closely (your eyes have x4 magnification, apparently) look at them?

Doesnt bother me much. I hate processed meats with a passion. The closest I get to processed meat is a hamburger from BK or Wendy's.

If he would have done bologna I would have lost it.

The guy should do KFC nuggets, they say they have all 'white' breast meat inside them. When you break them in half and have a look they look pretty ordinary. I won't say they bleach the meat but I will say something isn't right.

Crab sticks

Just 30 per cent actual fish, the rest of the bulk comes from wheat starch, sugar and soya protein. The pink colour comes not from crab, but from cochineal, and the white from calcium carbonate, otherwise known as chalk.

eww those things were gross enough when I didn't know what they contained.

Dont see much wrong in that. Its deceptive, but at least its not ground fat or animal tissue.

Btw, calcium carbonate is the main ingredient in Tums, so at least you wont get heartburn. :)

And people wonder why I try to limit my meat intake.

Sure, a lot of it can be absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious, but all those behind the scenes ingredients are a huge turn off to my stomach.

It's also in cliffs, ever tried eating a fucking cliff? Do you have any idea what it would do to your digestive system if you did?

Don't try and tell us calium carbonate isn't harmful.

It's a decent source of calcium. BTW it got in those cliffs because of organisms.

calcium carbonate is pretty harmless. i imagine a couple of kilograms wouldn't be particulary helpful, but calcium is good for you, and carbonate is what is in antacids as it is a weak base. it is just chalk, which is completely fine to eat.

just because something has a scary name doesn't mean its poison. glucose is 6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-2,3,4,5-tetrol when named properly, doesn't it seem evil already?

As for the pictures, big deal.. I wouldn't eat that shit in the first place. I like how he presumes he would find specks of gold and coordinates of the holy grail when he zooms in 4x on some piece of shit reformed meat.

If I take enlarged pictures of good quality salami made from organic meat bought in a countryside butcher shop I bet it'd look pretty much the same.

Anyway, it's common knowledge that industrial meat products are full of every sort of left-overs, organs, nerves, skin, intestines, all grinded up and mixed up with flavour enhancers and preservatives to make marketable

In Italy we have this type of salami called "mortadella" which is notoriously rubbish, it has a glowing pink colour with big chunks of fat and other white solid material visible, and the smell is extremely disgusting.

Well a few years ago they found out that a great deal of this industrially made salami available on the market contained fecal matter, because in the production they had used pork guts.

pics of it:

Almost ALL food, when zoomed in to such proportions, looks disgusting.

Freshly fresh just cut from the rump of a cow beef steak, no matter how healthy or organic, would look pretty fucking disgusting that close up also.

anything looks nasty under a microscope, unless its a crystal.
Unfortunatly we cant sustain ourselves on crystals :(

why are you people so disgusted with lipids?

carbon based lifeforms unfortunatly rely on things like bilayer lipid membrane and fats that look all gooy and nasty oh no!

it comes with being able to move around, unfortunatly. Why do people find free lipids so nasty to look at? You dont gag on the site of titties do you?

what do you expect from a mass produced reprocessed ANIMALS?
go vegan all you faggots
