I have two great friends, and two not as great. The rest are really just people I know and hang with every once in awhile. Im just happy I have the first two.

I used to have a lot of friends.

Then, I realized that "my friends suck" is a logical subset of "people suck."

Now, I have no friends. I do, however, have a lot of people I could hang out with if I felt I needed friends, or if I was feeling a bit amoral, a lot of people I could leech obscene amounts of weed off of for no reason other than the fact that we had been friends. However, the fact that I'm looking for a more utopic society than what I find sort of kills the "friend" thing on my side.

Ah well. 's all good.

I'm definitely not the most popular person, but I have an alright set of ethics, am honest, and am generally not an asshole to people. I'm also an alright judge of character, and of the few friends I have, I consider them all, in some way, to be good people.

I'd say I have maybe 7 good friends that would have my back in some sort of crisis. Another 10 or so people who are more along the line of fair-weather friends, and then a whole bunch of acquaintances.

Do Internet friends count?:)

I have a group of friends I hang out with. They kind of suck, but they're not bad or stupid people. Well, they are a little stupid, but not mind numbingly demented like most people.

Three close friends, 5-7 outer layer friends, endless acquaintances. The acquaintances suck, cause it's always like "Hey (insert my name here)" and I'm like "Hey (don't remember their name) what's up.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but I have a ton of friends. And at least a dozen close friends. Some of whom I've known for over 15 years. I have this uncanny ability to maintain friendships. For some reason, most people I know tend to lose touch with people very quickly and easily.

I also love meeting new people. Fuck, that alone is like a hobby for me. Or at least it once was...

I would say i have about 5 or 6 real great friends who would do anything for me and i trust my life with :)
im gradually meeting new people though, and i always hang about with about 20 odd people that i can and do call 'friends' , they are just not my closest ones :)

Nope, none. The last guy I knew moved away more than a year ago. Since I've been out of school my social opportunities are pretty much nonexistent.

I smart man once told me that you can not have more than one true friend. i also belive that.
i mean think about it, true friendship is like a relationship; you have to put everything into it(time, love...).
Plus for the people that say they have 10 close friends, think about who you would spill you heart out if you lost everything you loved-that would be your friend.
But then again, different people mean different when they say the word "friend".

I have college friends. In othewords, people who will smoke/drink with me til they whitey. I always end up drinking alone... I'm never drunk enough. These kids can't drink.

Fuck, I miss my friends who would laugh at me for taking vodka in moderation at this point.... I miss the one dude i could always go to for a drunken hug to make everything better.

For once, I agree with CarbonB. Real friends are real friends, totse/online/whatever friends can't touch you. They can't be your beer pong partners, they can't hold you when you need to be held (yeah, sometimes i need that, so what?) Totse friends aren't realy friends. They may re-confirm your beliefs, but rarely will they tell you what's what. that's what a friends's for.

I have plenty of aquaintences, none of which I really enjoy the company of. And I have 2 or 3 really really close friends whom I love to death.

I have a group of four friends which consists of my best friend, my cousin, and 2 other girls, and a close friend who I love but isn't friends with the other girls. They're my favorite people in the world, as well as my boyfriend, and the only people I can see myself staying in contact with later on in life. So 5 REAL friends. There are a ton of other people who I know really well and have great heart-to-heart conversations with and hang out with often, but nothing like what I have with these girls/guys. Then I have a huge network of acquaintances, because we almost all go to different schools, so we've got our own "school friends" plus each other, so we always mix and match groups. Then there are work friends (my work friends and my friends' work friends), and my boyfriend's friends, etc. etc. etc.

So long story short, I know and like tons of people who also know and like me, but I have 5 real friends and a boyfriend.

My girlfriend and younger brother are my closest friends.

I have a lot of aquaintances, some who I am quite close to, but none of them have quite earned my trust enough for me to consider them a true friend.

I've got about 12-15 inner circle friends who I'd lie to the cops all day for and take a bullet for provided it was only one and there were no follow up bullets or itd be pointless. After that I've got a bunch more of good friends and a bunch more affable aquaintances. Then there are all the people who I used to buy/sell drugs to/for and girls I pretended to give a shit about to get stuff from. Then there are the people who I've been friends with at one point or another and fallen out/beefed with and we're no longer cool.

A bunch more people think I'm a selfish asshole with good reason so everyone they hang with is by extension an enemy. Relationships are complicated. I've got a lotta friends though of all types who I've mostly met through drugs and parties and a couple enemys who'll be dead/pregnant or in jail soon.

Ratbert, you really have to stop that "minions attack" thing. It might be part of your problem. Don't mean to be an asshole but thats just what I think.

I'm not really going to count them out, but yes, I do have friends. My really great friends all live in Texas, or some other far, out-of-the-way place.

I have two very close friends who live in my town, and one who lives across the country, but who I know I can always go to and talk about anything even if we haven't kept in touch for a few months. Then I have another circle of maybe 5-10 friends, and a larger one of more like acquaintances.

i have a healthy circle of friends which continues to grow. i trust a good few of them, and id give my life for my longest standing friend who ive known for almost 14 years.

I really really suck at making friends. I've been at my school for two years and I've only got two friends there; I have two other good friends, but both of them are far out of town, so I don't see them often. I have several acquaintances at school, but I've never hung out with them. I'm friendly with almost everyone, but I can rarely get past that point.
Sometimes this really depresses me, but usually I'm able to shrug it off.

I have about 8 friends i would trust with my life.

I have about 30-40 i regularly hang out with and would be able to easily name if someone asked me to.

I guess i'm quite lucky really.
