My younger brother did it for a year or so. He became seriously popular with all the girls in his school and in the surrounding schools as he was known as "the hot guy cheerleader". That was about two years ago now. Now he's a punk and everyone still knows/loves him. It seems if you do this noone will forget you.

Although he's also been "the guy who whipped his dick out in public, hit on girls, then went into a coma because he drank to much then was taken to the hospital by ambulance at a punk show" and "The guy who doesn't take shit from anyone" since then so I can't say all the popularity is from the cheer leading.

it depend. depending on what you look like an who you know it can be a good or bad idea.

my an 2 of my friends practiced flips an stuff during the summer of ther sole reason that after school when the chearleaders practice we run in an do a couple backflips an leave.
an then also all being in the marching band you you get to know more people.
in my case being a chearleader wouldnt be a bad idea. i can go better than half of them in the first place. i just have better things to do.

now if your like some of the people that post saying girls think there gross being a chearleader would make you look gay, people would call you gay no matter what an youd probably get kicked of the chearleading team because they know you joined to try to get girls

There's one at our school. He was the first since his brother like 8 years ago. I'm pretty sure he's gay but he's pretty chill too. He's not gay cuz of that, he just has mostly girl friends and never seems to bag them. Always makes girlish jokes and is generally just girly. but yeah, at my school no one else would dare. He's just one of those people that doesn't care what people think of him. No one really rags on him, he is just himself.
