Whats the point of dwelling on such a dumb question? Who the fuck cares, no girlfriend leaves you more time to do what YOU want to do. Am I the only person who feels secure enough not to need the constant affection of another person? I hate it when my friends say "I'll never have a girlfriend, I'm not good enough!" and now I get on here and have to hear you pussies bitch about it. I would rather die alone and unhappy rather than be stuck in a relationship for the sake of having one. Maybe I'm just an emotionless bastard.

That made me laugh. A lot. Thank you for brightening my day.

As for the rest, statistically speaking, it seems that most of us are going to die alone with the exception of a few of us who might die in an explosion or as some part of an incurable epidemic.

or joint a cult to share the kool-aid.

And given the current state of affairs I'd say either the major nations of power and influence will destory each other, or due to an overwhelming number of influences in terms of over-population and the hazardous by-products of human existence, the earth will become uninhabitable by human life within 50 years or so.

So unless one of us does something about it, yes, we're all going to die young and alone; and that's not a bad thing.

Well....the potential of the earth purging itself of the disease of human life may be, but that's not the point. The point is to make life, and the time you spend now matter, not the end. If you make your life beautiful, and give it meaning throughout the moments that comprise it who gives a fuck about the last part?

You certainly won't, because you'll be dead.

I sometimes do.

Not really anymore, but, in the past I did. Was very alone, angry, depressed, paranoid. Fun times!

The idea of dying alone is a bit bothering too. No one knowing that you've passed. Personally, if I was alone till 60 or so, I'd just kill myself then.

Dont be a pussy dude, if you think you're gonna die young and alone then live your life like there's no tomorrow. It may be a bit cliche, but when you live your life without, for the most part, worrying about the reprocussions of your actions you take more chances and just generally enjoy life more.

You certainly won't, because you'll be dead.

This man has the right idea. Soulmates come and go. If you finish life saying "I spent all this time and couldn't find my true lover" you'll regret it. Spend time doing what you love first, and only then will you find what you are looking for in others. Take care of yourself, first and foremost.

I don't understand hot chicks having social dillemas. Yes, I'm generalizing, for all I know, you may have a problematic life, but you're a young, good-looking female, you've won. Spend more time doing what you truly love, and you'll probably meet a companion who'll share your goals and values in life, and he won't think you're too difficult to be with. Again, take care of yourself before you try for a relationship.

Hell man, it's been working for me since I was 12 years old.

I was never afraid that I would die young and alone. But, sometimes I'm afraid too many things will be left undone, unsaid, unlived. And I worry sometimes that I might die before I meet someone who has become ever so important to me.

I do try to do things that I know I can (or should) do right now. However, life does seem to place these forks in the road, and some things do have to wait. It's frustrating and sad sometimes, but you never know where they will lead you either. So, the best thing to do is to hope and to grasp at opportunity when it does come. (Hopefully, you'll be aware enough to recognise those opportunities when they do come and they don't slip away.)

I hate to be one of those Fight Club quoting jackasses, but if you're not doing what you want to, get out there and do it. I understand where problems could arise (ie, kids), but for me, a single, 18-25 year old male, my life follows what I want to do. I don't really know what I'm doing, but I like the wandering. At the end of the day, I can sleep easy knowing I didn't miss any chances, talk to every pretty girl I met today, listened to every song I wanted, and played rugby with my friends when I wanted. Yes, it's not much, but it's how the poor have fun.

i was just told that i was cheated on 3 times and lied to about it for almost a year.
i'm not feeling very optimistic about relationships at this point, or my judgements about men, or what kind of person i must be to inspire this to happen to me.
