i try not to. i feel too bad when a guy asks me for my number though, so most of the time i'll give it to him and just not answer when he calls. other than that, no. but i haven't had that problem lately, because 'i have a boyfriend' works even better.

You see, what they do is they justify it.

When a girl makes out with a guy for 4+ hours one night, then blows them off completely afterward, she calls it "losing interest". Therefore, in her mind, she hasn't lead anyone on.

Men are bad at using nonverbal cues, and worse at reading them. Statistically, much worse than women. So you could be reading affection that is not there and being felt like your lead on, when the woman had no intent to do so.

Most girls like to delude themselves into thinking that they're just being really really "friendly", because knowing that they're leading people on is too much of a reality check for them. On the other hand I also don't like to hurt people, it's hard to try to make friends when the other person is looking for something more.
