There was this girl we will call Jane.

Jane met me at some outdoor-type party a while back during the summer. shes now a senior in highschool and now I am (almost) a freshmen at UCSB. I leave on the 23rd.

We got together near the end of july even though we'd been acting like a couple way long before that. I kind of had her in that long-term relationship without being her boyfriend area. then I decided I really liked her and might as well have a sweet romantic relationship for the rest of the summer. then break up when i go to college.

that was the plan.

and it still is.

and for the most part we're a happy functioning couple.

but every once in a while she gets in these moods. usually its when she can't hang out with me. or she has to go home. or sometimes when were hanging out with friends. at one point she just gets upset and starts complaining about shit.

starts bitching about how I dont care enough and how mean and annoying I am.

then i ask whats wrong how can I help what did I do wrong how can I fix it etc.

she says "i just dont care anymore"
she says "whatever..uhh"
she says "no its not you"
then she says "gosh your so mean"
she says "you dont care about me"

and shes just plain mean and rude. my friends notice it too and they get upset by it. she interrupts our activities because I have to counsel her on the phone.

and i do care about her. half the time she knows it. when things are happy she thinks im the best guy in the world.

but when their not...

I think your starting to get the idea.
Anyways some advice as to why she gets like this would be much appreciated.

my theories include:
-she gets upset by circumstances and takes them out on me
-theres some sort of unseen personality clash between us that neither one of us can really recognize but occasionally makes her upset. (cuz I dont get upset at her. I mean when she acts mean it doesnt make me happy but im always good at keeping myself in check)
-shes really sad that Im going to college whereas i dont act as sad about it (well neither does she really even though I know shes hella sad) and she uses this to infer that I somehow don't care. (related to idea number 1)

I mean I am gonna miss her and I do truly believe I love her, but it doesn't mean Im gonna bitch and moan about it everyday. (not that she does this; however she seems to expect me to)

And I also don't like the fact that if she really is just getting upset at me for no reason, that I stay with her. I mean fuck i dont brag on totse, but im a decent looking guy and in the time that me and her have dated I've let a few opportunities with a few women drift by because I have a girlfriend.

so please S&A section of totse, tell me about Jane.

Give her some space and she may or may not realize that she actually likes and misses your annoying qualities.

Also, what are her relationships with other friends like?, does she take out this rage at them also?

Though i doubt you can fix her dysfunction, its most likely a permanent thing.

She doesn't seem to like her friends. She constantly lies to them so she doesn't have to hang out with them and that sort of thing. She's never mean to them though.

Although I don't blame her. Her friends can be pretty annoying.

But see we can't just blame it on PMS cuz it happens when shes not on her rag.
