Complication.
Alright well... first off hello, I'm new here. I've been lurking around for a while now and have never had the courage to post, but I finally grew some balls and well, here I am.
I met this girl a few months ago online. And it just so happened that she actually lived near me. So we've met quite a few times as well. Well we started talking just like any other conversation and well...we grew to like each other. It even led to a little sorta-kinda going out thing, but it died off due to lack of interaction? Well anyway we still talked all the time and I just found myself liking this girl more and more. However months have gone by and she now has a boyfriend. And I was cool with it as long as she was happy. But the other day she gets all serious and tells me that she still has strong feelings for me and that she feels so bad for her current boyfriend.
Now I'm lost, I can say that I truly love this girl...but what the hell am I supposed to say to her? I said that I still love her, but other than that I don't know what to do. Right now she's struggling, and I can't help but feel bad because I'm part of it.
Now I'm not the sort of guy to just command shit, so telling her to break it off with her boyfriend and come to me is just something that I wouldn't do. Also I'm afraid that I'm being vain in believing that she likes me as much as I like her. I just don't want to make a mistake with this girl...and I just dunno what to do.
I guess I just wanted to get this shit outa my system...what would you do totse?

Re: Complication.
Hello, stonedfetus! Great name, by the way.
If her feelings for you are as strong as you want them to be, then eventually she will break up with her boyfriend and you'll have the go ahead. But you can't hurry up that process... that would be an asshole thing to do. Whatever she wants to happen will happen in due time, so just wait and keep up contact but don't encourage her to do anything about her boyfriend. Just be a good guy and hope it works out for you.

Re: Complication.
This is another night of drinking alone, so be prepared for blunt honesty.
At the best, you can hope to be a rebound. At this point, she probably views you as a support system and not a lot more. "Strong feelings" for you may just be a reason for her to break up with her boyfriend, have a high-intensity relationship that burns out as soon as she's done grieving and move on with her fucking life.
I'd say bail, man.

Who said that drinking alone never yielded any positive results?
In addition: if you think about it, do you really want to start a relationship with someone whose last relationship ended because she felt bad for the guy so decided to just up and leave him?
Could be you in a couple months.

I like you. Someone who can elaborate and further explain my ideas always earns fucking points. I salute you with this shot!
Edit: op, dig what this man has to say.
