Here's a new creation story.
1000 years in the future, human technology will have advanced so far that time travel is possible. We go back in time and create the big bang and evolution.
Is that not just as likely as any other first cause explanation?

Re: Here's a new creation story.
For us to exist now with a man-made big bang we'd have to invent time travel that doesn't create parallel universes.
So with an infinite time frame for human development and existence in the future, why do we have no evidence of any such travel?
Wouldn't our world be swarming with travelers?

Wouldn't be that easy to hide, don't you think? But you're just making assertions that don't need proof.
Go to conspiracy, now.

Because humans can exist in a pre-Big Bang universe.
Besides, that's pretty conceited to suppose that US HUMANS created the ENTIRE UNIVERSE.

No there isn't! You have to have faith! You don't need evidence or logic when you have faith! Why do you hate time travelers from the distant future? How dare you violate the Temporal Commandments!

In that case, it's also a possibility that space bees are going to attack and make you their queen.

Nope. Neither. It is a false dilemma. Take evolution into account, it comes down to semantics, but let's say we actually took one bird which we will say technically is not a modern chicken, but its evolutionary ancestor, which gave birth to the first bird which we would consider a modern chicken. Well in this case the egg, the very first 'chicken egg' would exist before the chicken popped out of it. But, evolution takes far too long and takes far too small of steps for us to clearly say this is a chicken, but its mother was not a chicken.
Type in 'chicken or egg' into wikipedia and read the page on it, it is very interesting and will clarify whatever I just blathered out.

Big bang does NOT equal a first cause. The materials involved with the big bang existed before the explosion, no?
What do you mean we create the big bang and evolution??

But our modern day chicken needed something originally to lay that egg, so it still comes down to the animal coming first.

As I said, it's a story. It probably didn't happen but it's possible, but why would it need to be time travel which doesn't invent parallel universes? Why wouldn't we just be in a universe in which the time travellers in the future also exist, and that we exist, there could be millions of other parallel universes in which hitler was assasinated by a time traveler from the future or a few people got rich on the stockmarket that shouldn't have. Also before the big bang there technically wouldn't have been any parallel universes as there was no matter or time or whatever, but whilst creating the universe humanity could have created all of the parallel ones.
I hate how whenever a religious person achieves something good and does something successfully they always thank god, but they ignore all of the imperfections and stupidity in the world. Just face it if you achieve something, it's your own success. stop looking for ways to alleviate your guilt trip.

Big bang was caused by time travelers popping into nonexistence. Also, true champions of lulz went back in time to start the major religions

Not quite, in any case there would be some cut off between non-modern chicken(nmc) and modern chicken(mc). When nmc produces the first mc, that egg inside the nmc predates the mc inside that very egg.

Applying evolution, the egg came first, because that which laid the egg would be a proto-chicken - it's parents would not be a chicken.

Time travel as understood by current string theory is that some type of wormhole is needed and then some type of exotic matter (shit we havent found yet and only speculate exists) to keep it open for time travel to be possible.
I believe time travel is one of two things:
Completely impossible.
Possible only by creating or entering an alternate universe.
I suppose both of these on the notion that if time travel were ever going to be possible from now until our sun explodes ( a long time ) that at some point someone would fuck up our timeline in someway. We would have travellers here right now and at every point in history. We would find pepsi cans and other litter in the Jurassic period of the earths crust. No matter how tightly the organization who discovered time travel would try to moniter the effects on the past somebody at ANY POINT in the future is gona fuck it up.

That might make sense, but explain how the people who created the big bang and evolution got there in the first place?
Well that's the problem with all origin theories huh?

Yeah I was thinking of that, it'd be impossible to go back in time and change the past because of the obvious paradoxes invovled. I've come to the conclusion that there are infinite alternate timelines or parallel universes or whatever you'd like to call them. I see no reason why you couldn't simply observe the past, however, so maybe there are time travelers and the laws of physics prevent us from interacting with them in any way.

Re: Here's a new creation story.
Bad story..
First of all: We can't travel back to before big bang since there was nothing there.
Second: If there is such thing as time traveling in the future then i'm sure that we would know about it because people would ofcourse try to prevent the first and second world war, the fall or world trade center, hiroshima etc, they would also come back with various cures for the sick people.
Did they? No, they didn't.
So.. that either means that there will never be a time travel machine, or no-one ever lived to tell about it. Simple logic ^^
But, lets just wish for it:
Say we invent the "time travel machine" in 10 years.
I would be able to travel back and visit myself.
My future self would know when he got visited by his future self. And because of that, he would also know when he should visit me.
And for this to hold any ground. All my past selfs would be visited by thier future selfs exactly the same minute i got a visit from my future self..
And this suggests that there is unlimited timespands here.
We have unlimited past selfs and unlimited future selfs.
Quite complicated.
Now we come to the strange part.
If i in the future decides to go back and kill my past self. Would i really die aswell?
People would prolly answer: YES! you would vanish because you would prevent your self from traveling back to your past self.
But the answer is NO. Since i have unlimited past selfs i would never be able to harm my future self by hurting my past selfs.
And for the "Man created the big bang" theory:
I could buy it if it wasen't because of the "simple logic post" above.
