Default Probelms with ex

So I broke up with my ex girlfriend, who I dated for about a year and got pretty attached to, a couple weeks back. We didn't speak to each other for a while, and now that we're kinda talking again, she tells me that she's dating one of my buds from high school (we lived in different towns), and she thought I should know.

This usually wouldn't be a problem, but this kid is a piece of shit. He dropped out his senior year, works as a mechanic part time for his dad (not real job), and has outstanding assault charges on his ex-girlfriend, a complete trailer trash bitch who had his kid. Plus, he's not even attractive.
I tried to tell her about this creep, and it seemed like she was listening to me for a while, then I find out she's ignoring me and staying at his place every night. So, I told her, whatever, if your not going to take good advice, than I'm done trying to help you.

The problem is, now this girl is hanging around a lot of the same people as me, and her and this creep are going to the same parties I go to, and I'm not comfortable seeing them together, so I don't go.

What should I do? I don't want these people around, I'll just wind up getting in a fight (I've had three dropped assault charges, and I've fought professionally, so I'd be screwed if the kid calls the cops), or doing something else stupid.

She's a parasite man. Thats all she is.

Do not try and help her. At this point in your life, you are single, and have YOUR whole life ahead of YOU.

If she wants to throw hers away, its up to her, you musn't put your life on hold for someone who apparently isn't even worth dating.

Go to the parties. Be yourself. I'm sure there are plenty of breezies there for you to hook up with if your into that whole "revenge" deal.

I had the same problem. My girl for a year and one half is now dating a drop out who plans to "run his dad's business". She stays over his house everynight too because his parents just dont give a rats ass.

At this point, I've let it stop bothering me. She will become nothing except preggorz in a trailer, and I'll be rich and famous spiting her with every minute I'm alive.

Here's the gist: Move On!!

Yeah, your right. I just wish she'd stop trying to come into my life. She lives 40 minutes away, has her own friends and job and everything, but she insists on coming around and hanging out with my friends. Whatev, she's a piece of trash, and if that kid wants my leftovers I'm not going to fight over them ;) I'll just ignore them.

Let her (and him..) live her own life, yo. You're the one being protective and jealous, not her. You broke up, that's it between you.

yeah dude, dont let her and this asshole ruin your social life. It's pretty likely that things will go exactly as you say, he'll treat her badly, she'll be miserable, and then she'll come crawling back to you. She's fucked not you.

This is my life though, not hers. I've known these guys since grade school, this is the town I've lived in for like 10 years. I'm not jealous,I just don't want her around me and my friends causing drama, and I was being protective of her before, because this guys hits girls and she was important to me. Now I don't care, I just want her to go back to her life instead of staying in mine.

Pingy was right about this girl, it seems. She's just a leech.

Thing is, why do you give a fuck if the guy is a creep? She's your ex. Let her fuck up and make her own mistakes and get hurt by the wrong men. It's not your problem any more.

Try to be affable to this guy. If you get aggressive you'll just look like the generic jealous ex.

The keyword here is EX - you know, like past tense.

That's not the problem, the problem is her invading on my friends and causing drama when I'd rather she went back to her own life.
