pennyroyal extract
I did my research on it and even found a few vendors. The thing is, my gf might be pregnant. We already have a kid and can barely afford her. Having another kid would TRULY fuck my life over being I'm back in college & trying to get my life straight! She was on birth control, but her medicaid cut off and she could no longer afford it.
Anyone here have experience in using pennyroyal extract in pregnancy termination?
To you people out there who think every sperm needs a name(pro-lifers): please DO NOT flame me or threaten me, that's the LAST thing my gf and I need at a time like this.

Re: pennyroyal extract
I'm sure I remember a similar thread a while ago. Pennyroyal is dangerous and volatile, it can terminate pregnancies in the right doses because it's poison.
Not a good move.
Parsley on the other hand..

Re: pennyroyal extract
You certainly deserve flaming for crass stupidity.
You had sex even though you knew she WASN'T on bc? Not being able to afford bc is NOT an excuse. You put everything at risk because you couldn't keep it zipped.
And now you're thinking about putting your g/f's life at risk by using a poison.
Herbal abortions should never never be done at home. They require years of experience to use within safe margins.
Mentha pulegium, family Lamiaceae), is a member of the mint genus; an essential oil extracted from it is used in aromatherapy. Pennyroyal is a traditional folk medicine poison and abortifacient. These oils are high in pulegone, a highly toxic volatile, which can stimulate uterine activity.
Pennyroyal tea has been traditionally employed as an emmenagogue or as an abortifacient. The essential oil is extremely concentrated, and is highly toxic even in small doses.[1] Complications have been reported from attempts to use the oil to induce abortions: in 1978, a pregnant woman died after consuming approximately two tablespoonfuls (30 ml) of Pennyroyal oil, and in 1994, another death occurred after a pregnant woman (attempting to self-abort, but with an unknown ectopic pregnancy) consumed tea containing Pennyroyal extract.[2][1]-from wiki

Re: pennyroyal extract
Imaginary rep for jack.
Do it professionally or don't do it. A home abortion is a terrible idea. You took a dumb risk, it didn't pay off, and now you either take care of it properly or you live with the consequences.

Re: pennyroyal extract
like jack said, you deserve to get flamed for being so fucking stupid. why would you have sex with her knowing that she wasn't on birth control? there's plenty of places that you can get condoms for free as well, so you can't say that you can't afford them. or you could have at least pulled out.
you're a dumbass and you fucked up, now deal with the consequences. you knew when you fucked her that there was a good chance you would get her pregnant since she wasn't on any birth control.
i'd suggest looking into adoption if you can't afford an abortion. there are people that are so desperate for a kid that they'll pay pretty much all of her bills the whole time she's pregnant. just look online or in the newspaper.
and if you can afford a computer and the internet, you must not be that poor.

Luckily, I'm militantly pro-choice - so I can flame you all I want.

OMFG FUCK NO IDIOT *headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk*
...lemme see if I can analogize in a scenario you'd be familiar with...
Situation one : someone gives a fent lollipop to an opiate noob and says "lick 'till you feel sick to your stomach... then stop licking until the nausea feels better."
Situation two : someone hands you a point of pure fenantyl hydrochloride and says "yeah, it's an opiate. Slam it all."
See a difference between the two scenarios?
Pennyroyal tea from whole leaf has been used as an abortifacient for millenia. Pennyroyal extract kills people at about the doses that fenantyl gets you high. Total systemic organ failure. Not very pretty.
So... don't. Just... don't. You have no idea what you're doing and haven't even done the basic research, obviously.
How far along is your girlfriend's pregancy? Does she have any preexisting medical conditions? Does she clot easily, or is she prone to excessive bleeding? Has she been taking any blood thinners - including asprin, ibuprophen, ethanol, etc? In the week before her period, does she often get excessive cramping, or not? 'n lots of other questions... which you should answer.
Incidentally, vitamin C has also been used as an abortifacient. Apparently interferes with progesterone.
...just... skip the murder/suicide kick you're on, m'kay?

Jesus... stop using quack herbal medicines that may or may not work and go to a fucking doctor stat!
If you even *think* she might be pregnant, you need to act now. And from the sounds of it you're against abortion, Else you'd have terminated the last one, so you have even less time to dick around with remedies that may do nothing or may put her in alot of pain.
I'll make sure this discussion stays on topic and doesent turn into a soapbox pro life/pro choice discussion.
