Default Dating a slightly older man

No, it's not some pedophile shit. I'm 19, 20 in March and he is 21. Here's the issue; ever since he turned 21 a few months ago [at about the same time all of our friends turned 21], I've been getting upset because he goes out to the bar with them instead of hanging out with me. I don't live in the area anymore, I live an hour and a half away because of school. So it's totally doable in relationship terms, it's just that when I come home for the weekend, like now, he sometimes goes out to the bar instead of hanging out with me...and I get jealous. It doesn't happen a lot, but I guess I feel like:

a). I came home to see him, why doesn't he want to go somewhere I can get in to?

and

b). Now that all our friends are 21, I don't see them half as often as I used to, and I feel really left out of their lives. And that sucks.

Do I have a case? If so, what should I do? If not, what should I do?

i'm generally against fake ids (i never needed one, i look much older than i am) but perhaps it's suitable for this situation. i think he should make an effort to see you, but it's unfair to expect him not to go out with his friends just because you're not old enough to go with them. 21 is really old to start drinking etc, i never understood it.

do they have something against going to a liquor store and picking up a couple cases and drinking and chilling at someones house so that you can join in? ask them to do that sometimes.

Let him know this.

If you're making the effort to go home to see him the least he can do is spend time with you.

From what I'm reading, he can go out with these guys a lot more often than see you. Maybe he should get some priorities lined up.

Sometimes we do hang out and drink at someone's house, but not that often. Some of his friends aren't available during the week, just on weekends [they work 3rd shift] so that's why they don't chill during the week.

He DOES spend time with me; we see each other every day, almost all day. It's just that sometimes at night he'll go out, and since all our friends are out with HIM, I am here, at home, alone by myself [like right now].

oh i think i misunderstood the situation reading the OP. if you guys see each other that often, then he should be able to go out with his friends if he wants. your situation is the price you pay for going out with a dude who just turned 21 while youre still under. its not his fault that you dont have any other friends, nor is it his job to make sure you always have company. either make some other new friends to hang with when the guys go out, or just suck it up and find something to pass the time when youre by yourself. being alone sometimes aint that bad, no?

ive been in and seen that situation a lot.....i'm 26, my last gf was 19....so i could get into a lot of places she couldn't.... we spent a lot of time together, but occasionally i would tell her im going out with my boys and she had no problem with it....

our situations are/were different though.... i know most of the bouncers/bartenders around town, so i could usually bring her to any place i went and not only get her in, but get her served. thats probably not an option for you....

im not sure where you live, but a lot of bars are 18+ to get in...you can't drink, but at least you can chill....just pregame before you go out. if your friends can agree to goto a place like that every once in a while shouldn't be a problem.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear the second time around; we are long distance. When we are together, we see each other all the time, but I see him at the maximum for 2 days a week [i.e., 1 or 2 on saturday until 12 or 1 on sunday].

I didn't read any of your post. My 15 year old friend was like OMG IM DATING A 22 YEAR OLD SO CHOOL. He fucked her more ways than you could imagine, in exchange for a stream of MARLBORO MILDS AND SHINER BOCK.

Then he cheated and she was suprised. Helloo.
