Re: Another break up thread
Since no one else is saying anything I'll give you a few tips.
1. Try as hard as you can to put her out of your mind by going out and doing things with friends.
2. If you have any of her possessions put them all in a nice big bag and have her do the same so you can swap em.
3. Flirt with other girls as soon as possible. I know it hurts man, but you gotta move on.

Move on, statistics show that things will lean in your favor sooner or later.

Re: Another break up thread
I hate to say it, and this may not be YOUR best solution, but it works for me.
Go out for a LONG weekend of drinking. As I mentioned, you may not be the type, but I got over the sucker I was hung up on for over a year in 2 days. Met a lot of great people that weekend, too.

Re: Another break up thread
Hmm I know what you're going through buddy, it's horrible, me and my girl broke up a few days ago.
Personally I sat in my room for a few days, doing nothing but surfing the web, eating junk and listening to sad songs (see break-up songs thread for further details).
But yeah if you wanna get the pain of out your head a while the best thing is to be distracted, go out with friends, do shit. I haven't gotten as far as going out to get drunk yet, but I'm definitely planning on it and I'm certain it's an effective method. Just try not to break up in tears while drunk, no one likes that guy :P

Re: Another break up thread
I know that feeling so well...
Sure there's lots of fish in the sea but... Right now it doesn't feel like anything is gonna come close to this one.
Sure on paper you might find a girl that's ridiculously cool and hot, but you've come to love all these little things that make your girl just that, your girl.
Fuck it's hard pal, I'm with you...

Re: Another break up thread
i went through a rough, unexpected breakup about 2 months ago.... it was really tough at first...didnt eat or sleep much the first 2 days.... went out every night the first 3 days after and did some serious drinking...i mean hardcore. it helped temporarily. i kept drinking hard for a while..... what you need to do to lessen the pain is NOT run into her if possible....as much as you want to see and talk to her, you cant. it'll make it worse. same goes for checking her facebook/myspace....just dont bother....when you see some random dude make a suggestive comment you'll go through the roof.
what i did to get over it that was the best was this....i started working out....after a good long run or weightlifting session i felt better both physically and mentally.....and that also helps me pull a new girl.....which i think i need to do to really get past this.

Re: Another break up thread
Just get on with life my man.
I came out of a two year relationship a while back and the way I coped was to just get on with it.l
I cried and felt like shit during the day when I was alone...But during the night, I went to work and got on with it.
Within a week of it happening I was over it and out enjoying myself.
Just do things to take your mind off of it.

Re: Another break up thread
When my bitch broke up with me, I went to the other side of the country to work. I also drank quite a bit.
You might say it's over the top, but hey, I was able to get a job out there within 8 hours, and was out there in two days. It worked well.
It also prevented me from killing the bastard she cheated on me with.
