In my experience, when you have a really good friend of the opposite sex, you start to build up an idea of how they are in bed, and they start to do the same about you. So when you finally hook up, it turns out being different than you both expected, and pretty bad.

I did it, but only after like 5 months. It was amazing. I met her on this mission trip to honduras (it was to build a new house for a pastor, his wife, and his nine children). Like I knew instantly that she was... what I wanted. We got really close, and we hung out a lot. She kept the fact from me that she did a lot of coke--but that was the only thing. I guess she thought I'd judge her (and to be honest, I did). She got busted, and I was the one she cried to, the person she called after her dad picked her up from jail. I can remember the razor sharp desire, poignant and grinding. I told her I really wanted to be with her a couple times, but she kind of gently rejected me. Finally, I crashed my car and almost died, and that night we hooked up for the first time. She's the longest relationship i've been in, and was just... amazing.

Moral of the story: Grind down her resistance by upping the sexual/emotional tension until some powerful event(s) breaks her and she's yours! It'll end and you guys will go back to being friends, but the friendship will be far less involved. Of course, like everyone else on totse, I think my experience rings true for every situation I comment on.

i agree about upping the sexual tension... but seriously. alcohol is our friend... im not suggesting you get her drunk and sleep with her while shes passed out (dead fish style has never appealed to me, i like a more passionate response) but it certainly gives people more courage to do things they otherwise wouldnt have the balls to do, and it gives you a thin shield for your actions, because you can always try to explain trying to kiss her the next day as being really really trashed... but definitely build up to it, have conversations thats guaranteed to get the idea into her head
