Default So it exists after all

So I think I'm in love with, or at least heavily like, this guy. Just the sound of his voice, or a brief glance from his gorgeous eyes gives me butterflies and everything about him is amazing. He's the sweetest and most caring person I've ever met and is so much fun to be around.

Thing is, he's 3 years younger than me. We met at work and at first I thought he was just your average 16-year-old but I got to know him and we really bonded. Eventually we slept together. I wouldn't say the sex was fantastic but it was definitely different (in a good way) and so it became a regular thing. Before I met him, all of my experience with boys was either one-night-stands, short-term flings of a friends-with-benefits kind of thing. At first, this was something similar, but there's just so much depth to him and the more I get to know him the more I love him.

I've never even had a proper boyfriend before and didn't think I would bother until I was at least in my mid-20s, but he's so special. In a lot of ways we're already like a couple (but I didn't really realize until I thought about it.) But at the same time he's still just a kid. He still lives with his parents, can't drive or even legally buy booze yet.

So do I tell him how I feel and try to make a go of it, or just accept that it wasn't meant to be?

Short version:

I'm a slut (for want of a better word) but now I've met someone I really like but he might be too young.

I say go for it and fuck anyone who has anything to say about it. You're only 19 yourself, that's not a huge age gap and he's of legal age of consent since you're in the UK.

It will of course pose problems for you in terms of going out at night unless he looks much older than he actually is. Perhaps he can get a fake ID or something? That should help things out some.

Good luck and just go with what your heart tells you, but also bear in mind that he IS still a kid and about to go through a whole new phase in his life, be careful with him and with yourself. Don't let yourself get too attached.

I hate when people bring up the whole age thing. I'm 19 and my girlfriend is 23. So what?

Just "follow your heart".

EDIT: Listen to the guy above, maybe you're ready for a more serious relationship, but he doesn't necessarily have to be. 'careful.

when I was 17 I lost my virginty to a 21 year old girl.
she was messed in the head, but none the less, an older women can do wonders for a younger man.
keep up the good work, your doing nothing wrong, especially if you believe you love this guy.

And there was me thinking that first paragraph was aimed at me..."Who the fuck could this be talking about my beautiful eyes....?" :p

End of the day sweetheart, age shouldn't matter. If you like the guy and it feels right, go for it.

I'm going through some shit with some Dagenham bird who, although she's a crazy Essex bird, is fit and interests me for reasons I can't put my finger on. Although she enjoys spending time with me and loves the way I look and kiss and cuddle and so on, she just can't do anything at all with me that could be construed as serious in any way.

The point I'm trying to make is don't overcomplicate things...If it feels good, do it. When it starts feeling dodgy, fix it or fuck it.

Simple as.
