Currently, I'm trying to construct a plot for an erotic story (read: I thought a short story could be spiced up with a brazen sex scene).

Currently, I've set up the basic premise: guy is a high school student (final year, of course), girl is as well, they get put together on the same group project and somehow end up in bed.

Problem is, I can't think of the right 'catalyst' for the sex and I really want to develop the plot to make it fairly believable.

Anyone care to help me out?

Doing a project? say they were doing a project for anatomy. and they had a few beers, I drank as a senior. and somebody make the joke, id like to examine your anatomy!

maybe write a couple of scenes where she comes over to his house to do the assignment, and its hinted that they are going to have sex but never do. build the tension then make them have sex in a totally unrelated way, eg. they go to a party and they just cant control it anymore and she grabs him by the hand and pushes him towards a wall or something. or they win a trip somewhere for the assignment, like its a science thing in some school competition, and they end up fucking in the plane toilet. i dunno, use your imagination.

It isn't a sex-ed project, I originally had them doing an English project where the guy and the girl were in the same group (4 people total in the group). They're writing a report or something on a documentary they viewed in class.

Couldn't you easily switch some words and sentences around? You said your self it was a short story, it's not like you would be redoing a novel or anything.

EDIT: At least in my school english projects were generally solo, so that the teacher can mark them properly and things like sex-ed tended to be more group orientated. Hence making it more believable AND making it easier to believe that they would get turned on.

If it were me, I'd have the guy invite the girl round to study. He goes to the kitchen for some beer but is sidetracked. The girl looks around his room, trying to find out what kind of person he is etc, what books he has, bla bla bla. She stumbles upon some incriminating evidence somehow, and ends up blackmailing him with it.
The result being that he must sex her whenever she wants, in effect becoming his slave.
But that plot wouldn't end up very vanilla if I wrote it.

I like this, but if you want to make it a bit more varied:

I also demand that the final sex scene of the story should be connected to the event of the presentation they were working on. Maybe they should fuck in the auditorium where their class is watching the people who are presenting before them, or something.

Also, I don't get how you have some details set, but haven't figured out the crucial plot mechanism here.
