Brat's suggestion is a good and easy one, but the one that I used to use with my ex was similar to what you said yourself.

Depending on the height of your bed, get on your knees on the floor and have her scoot her ass right to the edge of the bed. Put one leg up on your shoulder and around your neck (if possible) and penetrate her.
