Default Advice for those who can't help but get attached:

Avoid summer "flings" before going off to college. Seriously... two years in a row i've thought hey this won't bite me in the ass. And yet again, around this wonderful time, the fact that I've got to rush off to the midwest and leave my love back home has knocked me on my ass. A time of turmoil and anxiety unnecessarily amplified. Learn from my repeated mistakes!

Nah.

People have to learn for themselves. And I guess the fun of a holiday romance and that giggly new feeling called 'love' is just too much of a rush to resist.

Will you not see her again?

Well yes, but it's never the same. There's always either the awkward oh i'm fucking someone else now or the even more damaging attempt to get back together before realizing one and the other are far different people. Moreover, it's just more emotional baggage you're bringing out with you.

Yeah it sucks when your love has to go back to grade school in the fall and you're going to college in another state doesn't it? Well you'll always have his spongebob boxers to remember him by...

Yeah but it could always turn out like in Grease and you can just break out into song and everything will work out.

I am kinda liking the mental imagary of Danny and Sandy with semi automatics and some choice phrases for the others before wasting them with extreme prejudice!

And yeah...Just keep reminding yourself that it's only a fling, the other person doens't give a shit about you and you'll be fine.

well, you should just be happy that you were able to create a new experience for yourself, got to know someone. and although that time has ended, isnt it better than lasting forever.

My girl didn't tell me she was moving when we started dating because she thought I wouldn't be willing to give it a try.

Now she's gone and I'm a fucking mess. :(

Errrrr.... yeah I feel bad now. She knew I'd be going, but i probably should have told her I didn't want anything long distance/continuing after summer.

Don't feel bad, she knew what she was getting into.

Haha, I didn't want to do long distance either, though she ended up convincing me we could make it work. Buuut I guess she changed her mind. :/
