Paranoid about yeast infection
so my girlfriend apparently just got a really minor form of yeast infection or something. she went to the doctors and the doc took a swab sample and diagnosed it as yeast infection, and prescribed her a tablet (its already a bit dodgey because the doctor isn't like a gyno or anything, but like a doctor on call at a walk-in clinic (it was sunday today))
i'm not worried about the yeast infection. the thing that i am sketching out is the reason behind it. she is on birth control and we don't usually use a condom.
the doctor said that yeast infection is caused by a hormonal imbalance, caused by bc pills, pregnancy, and a wheelbarrow of different reasons like ass to vag, glycerin in lube, stress, etc.
you can tell which one i am fearing the most.
if she is .. pregnant, then it has happened in the past week, and she can't get a urine sample because apparently the earliest date you can test your urine is four days before her period. seeing that her period is two weeks away, we are going to a blood lab to get a blood test.
to put my demons somewhat at rest, is it common for yeast infections to be caused by other shit than pregnancy? i looked up some symptoms and it looks to be more along the lines of bacterial vaginosis than y. infection, but fuck if i know.
any help is appreciated.

Re: Paranoid about yeast infection
Most women will get a yeast infection at some point, its that common and is seldom a sign of having caught t3h pregnancy.
You have to remember the vag is naturally full of
yeast so infections etc are nothing unusual at all.
In some ways its more a petri dish than a sex organ :P

Well its never bothered me if she's got a yeast infection. If she wants oral then its not an issue.

Re: Paranoid about yeast infection
Women get yeast infections all the time. It's a natural thing, dude.
If she's on birth control pills, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you're fine.

Re: Paranoid about yeast infection
I thought you could take use a pregnancy kit at any time?
it would be a bit retarded to think you were pregnant and then wait for 2 weeks before doing anything about it.

i've never taken one, but i think you have to wait until about a week after you think you may have conceived, if you want the test to be accurate. i'm not sure though. might be a good idea for someone on here to find out.

They're not very accurate less than 2 weeks after conception. You can take them at any time you think you're pregnant, but the result isn't something you can put complete trust in.

Re: Paranoid about yeast infection
What are you, 16? If you're that worried, stop having sex, dumbass.
And even if it were the fluke pregnancy that is possible while properly taking the pill, you two should have already come to an agreement that you're not ready and it's getting sucked out.
If she fucked away her birth control regimen, well, then all the more reason for her to have it sucked out and you to go back to condoms.

Re: Paranoid about yeast infection
my ex had one once....i had nothing to do with pregnancy...i think i vaguely remember her saying something about too much sex...we did it raw, and id shoot in her frequently....might have had something to do with.
it didnt last too long. no big deal. though the pussy smelled and looked kinda gross at times.

Re: Paranoid about yeast infection
ok here's the thing...yeast infections really are not an indicator of pregnancy. i don't know where you picked that idea up but it's nonsense. they're irritating yes, but they're ridiculously common and they're not a sign that she's knocked up. i suggest you calm down and fight the urge to overreact and add to the "shit she's preggers" thread pile-up, and if you're really worried about it keep a weather eye out for her belly looking rounder instead of for her crotch issues.

im not even reading this, but whatever you did, u have no control over what happens whether or not its likely or unlikely. Whatever happens will happen whether u worry about it or not. so... yeah... i hope that helps. Even tho i dont know what i just replied to.
