He's your best friend and he's worried that you're hitting on his GF, even though you don't like her that way.

The answer is simple - stay away from her. I don't mean like ignore and stuff, but just avoid long conversations with her and stuff.

You don't really care about her and he's your best friend.

In my opinion you should be upfront about it and explain to him that you wouldn't do anything with her and you respect him and wouldn't do anything to endanger your friendship. Also be truthful and mention that you see her as a sister, and not as a possible girlfiend.

As much as I hate confrontation, this might just be the easiest and most logical way. Thanks.

Anyway, onto the major point. This friend of mine has a pretty awesome girlfriend. She is sweet, pretty, and does a lot of things for him. Generally she is caring to not only him, but all of her friends. I have become really good friends with her lately (and have been good friends with her before they were dating).

Uh Oh..

You wouldnt have bothered telling us you were good friends before she went out with him unless you wanted to prove that you're more special to her than your friend is.

You cant deny it. You like her.

Perhaps you've got the controll and decency to not take your friends girl. But he has a right to be cautious.

BTW, if you truly liked her like a sister, you wouldnt refer to her as being smart and pretty. You'd call her an obnoxious brat and kick her in the shin.

You have a crush. :):(

You see her as a sister and you make sexual jokes.....

That's not my typical bro/sis relationship

So I know everyone says she's like my sister, he's like my brother etc but seriousy the some of the people I say that about I can still imagine hooking up with them if the situation arises (and I have)

I'm going with Yoyo on this one. You're just much of a decent bloke to see what's happening and the fact that she almost certainly has some panty moist feelings for you too.

Be the best friend to both of them that you can be by keeping contact to her a minimum. Ain't no reason why that should cost you their friendship.

You sound like a really nice guy and I'd hate to see you blindly fall into one of the oldest nastynesses going.
